The thing is I think it burned the cotton a bit, but I'm not quite sure if its tasting bad rn, lol. I just don't want to loose that bit of juice I have there to change the coil.

If you are Not Sure if it is tasting Bad, then it Isn't Tasting Bad.

If you do a Few Dry Hits on the same coil, or one Really Bad Dry Hit, you will know right away.

Take Fidola13's advise. And just keep Vaping on your Coil until the Taste is Bad. And when it is, Toss the Coil and Rinse Out the Tank with warm water.

I let my liquid run out and had a dry puff. After reffiling I don't feel the dry puff but I'm not sure if it is like it was before, the coil is one week new. Can one dry puff damage the coil or am I beeing paranoid?
If it seems to bother you, might want to set aside the coil and use it only for strong flavors such as some mints,coffees,etc... .

Fill early and often is my motto. I hate the dry puff.

Also though if the coil is bad, change it. It may pollute your juice, and that is something you don't want. I always get rid of my juice if the coil is going bad (IDK that it is, but possibly).

If you want a new flavor you can remove the juice inside (note, do not put back in original bottle it may pollute your nice, unused juice. You can also soak the coil in vodka or everclear and the rinse it and it probably won't taste like the juice you were using and once it dries out, you can use it in a different type juice,.

Mentioning all this as you seem to be thrifty sort. I got no problems with that frankly. But, FYI
