I don't normally do dual coils, but even with a one ohm build (each coil is 2 ohms) you might have to kick up your power a bit. I believe parallel coils will split the current running through them, so your over-all current draw is 4 amps. I think that is really 2 amps per coil which doesn't sound like it's warm enough for what you're going for.

What did you build on? How's the flavor?

don't forget your ohm readout will be also be dependent on the diameter of your coil (i.e. the size of the thing you're wrapping it around)

Just to add clarity as this is the new members section:

The ohms are effected by wire length and not the diameter of the coil. Of course 10 wraps around 3mm diameter will have a longer wire length than 10 wraps around a 1.5mm diameter, and so it appears that bigger diameter more resistance, but wire length is the real contributing factor.

Correct. The same # of wraps around a larger diameter will, in fact, result in a longer piece of wire-- Thus creating a higher resistance. Sorry if my post was unclear
