Somewhere out there
I did do that should have mentioned that.

Maybe I need to lower the %. I started high since I usually order extra flavor in vendor flavors. I'll try that. Thanks

I find the best way to d DIY is start out with a low % 1-5% and then work up from there. Some flavors at 20% are terrible, but at 5% heaven :) So start weak and work up, try them weak and see what they need, some I keep at 1 or 5, some are better at 10 or 15%, have to play a bit, but with less you maybe surprised :) bnrk

Finally someone that thinks like I do! I usually start at 5% and it's usually plenty for me! There are just a few so far that I would never consider adding more than a couple of drops to ANY mix, so way less than 5% on those, and a few of the weaker flavs I might go as high as 15% on, but 20% for me would GAG me! I so far have not gone that high with anything!

Invest in an atty and a drip tip and make really tiny batches for testing :)

I use a debridged 2.5 ohm 306 atty for testing flavors - I can put one drop right on the coil and sample that way - but I'd recommend against using LR atomizers for testing. I've got a couple of 1.8 ohm attys that can go from tasty to horrendous in about one hit ;)

Also, as others have said start with just a little bit of flavoring. It's easy to add more flavor but pretty damned hard to remove flavors once you've put them in there.

When we mention numbers like 20% we are usually talking about a standalone . In mixes you would never use the standalone percent . FOr example vanilla custard .FOr a standalone the sweetspot may be 15% but i dont really use that flavor as a standalone . In mixes i usually use vanilla custard at numbers like 2.5% . That 2.5% in a mix tastes like the sweet spot of 15% by itself . Flavors really get enhance when its used with other flavors . It like magic as someone said since 2.5% by itelf you wouldnt even taste it but then in a mix 2.5% is strong .In some mixes iv even used vanilla custard at 1% and it was still very noticable and tasty . With vendors extra flavor its usually like a 15% total of 5 flavors and the extra they bump it up to 18% . The individul flavors only get increaded by 1 percent or so .

I have some recipes that have a total of 12% with 5 or 6 flavors
