I recently knocked over one of my Dynamo mods and it landed perfectly square to the floor drip tip first. I picked it up and found it no longer worked. Later after playing around with it I relized that when I shook it I could hear the batteries rattle which never happened before. I also found if I pushed from the bottom and top the battery would connect and it worked. Im trying to figure out what got "squished" when it did the perfect 10 dive of my nitestand and if its fixable. Anyone have any thoughts?

Laminate flooring claims another one! How many billions of dollars worth of electronics do we need to smash before we go back to sane flooring options? I destroyed my Aspire Speeder in a similar way. The battery door was of the bottom-latching sort that your Aspire Dynamo has, and the door was held closed by flimsy moulded plastic tabs, one of which had snapped off. I could probably have drilled a hole and inserted a metal pin to hold it, or mounted a jury-rigged retention clip to the torx screw, but I opted instead to replace the whole mod with a durable Geekvape Aegis Legend and badmouth Aspire for the rest of time.

The battery door is okay. The spring loaded terminals still have "spring" but I have a feeling there may have been pushed out of position by the weigh of the batteries hitting them. I just need to figure out how to take this thing apart.
That's going to be a problem. It was never meant to be taken apart. What if you hook on to the springs and give them a good yank to stretch them back out?

Unless you are particularly handy fixing electrical systems, I think I would reconsider taking it apart. Especially if the damage sustained is not immediately evident visually. These devices were not designed to be taken apart by the owner.

The circuit board may be damaged where it connects to the batteries. I seriously doubt that you could fix that yourself and probably not find a source for a replacement board. Typically, when a mod is damaged and has some internal damage, we consider it a total loss.

I am actually very capable of fixing it other than I know nothing of how this is made, which I will figure out. I have numerous other mods so this is more of a learning experience for the future than a need to fix it kind of a deal. Kind of suprised me that I can drop my tv remote 50 times a week and it still works, my cell phone a few times a day, it still works, etc but my vape once and done.

That's excellent and we don't mean to impugn your handiwork. These mods are held together with glue and hope, and one-time-use plastic clips. If you've successfully repaired such mods then you're a hero.

Very frustrating. These devices are top heavy and regularly used a meter off the ground, and yet many cannot survive their first drop on the floor. I blame short-sighted penny-pinching "consumers" who would rather buy a new one at a bargain every year than pay for quality once.

Forget the video idea. I went to fix my Dynamo yesterday and found out the fire button was loose too due to a crack in the housing. Battery connection problems and fire button problems. Its not worth taking a chance. I guess it took a bigger shock than I thought. My first mod paper weight :)

It's $52 at MyVaporStore, so a fix might be worth a try.

If you are good with epoxy and a syringe you might be able to slightly spread the casing, insert a toothpick or two to hold it apart, and inject glue into the crack with a syringe.

The best fix is a new mod and a slide on silicone cover before it happens again. You really don't know if the drop displaced internal components enough to cause other issues, like connections touching or becoming intermittent.

I absolutly could fix it but its not worth my time. I originally thought it was just a battery terminal problem. Then I noticed the switch and a crack. Who knows what else I would find. I have plenty of mods so I tossed it.
