I smoked Marl menthol ultra light for years and my bf smoked Djarum specials. We picked up the Blucigs...well we ordered them and a month later they showed up.

I quit day one.. the bf still needed analogs. Then the equipment started to fail. We were unsuccessful in getting replacements after fighting with customer service repeatedly. My bf went back to analogs. I did fine for about 2 weeks until my battery life started to wane. I would have about 1-2 of his cloves a day when I couldn't vape. Then I got a really nasty cold and I couldn't vape at all because it hurt my throat too much so I started smoking the cloves exclusively to numb my throat.

BIG MISTAKE! I've found the cloves to be sooooo much more addictive. Now they've banned them and I can't stand regular analogs now so I'm trying harder than ever to exclusively vape.

My bf got a Dragon and is doing pretty well on it..still a couple analogs a day (we're making and rolling our own...sad I know) but the batteries still can't keep up with the habit. I'm still trying to use the Blucigs, but I have to change the battery about every 20-30min.

Fortunately, we have some mods coming and I've ordered some other models to try out and we have juice and accessories coming.

We both believe that with the proper equipment and plenty of supplies on hand we'll both be able to kick analogs for good.

I'm not a quitter so I'm determined to quit!

gotta love irony!

So awesome to hear all the success stories and I want to thank everyone on the board and the suppliers for all their help and encouragement.

Last Analog - 1.5 months ago
Last E-cig - 7 days ago

Wasn't even trying to quit vaping it just sort of happened.

Last Saturday in the afternoon I noticed that I hadn't vaped yet all day.

So I decided to see if I could go all Saturday without vaping. That was successful so I decided to see if I could go all Sunday - no problem. And I've been vape-free all week!

I have been analog free since recieving my 901 in early June. I am still ecstatic about it! Smoked for 36 years and tried EVERYTHING out there available and nothing worked. I thought I would be smoking analogs till my death bed. I don't see myself quitting vaping anytime soon though, I really enjoy it and can't wait to get my first Mod!

I smoked for damn near 25 years...smoked my last ....-log within 48 hours of getting my 510/Titan starter kit.

I haven't even thought of smoking since I got this...and I have tobacco, papers and my lighter in full view just a few feet away from me, they might as well be ornaments or something, they just don't register when I look at them.

The PV is a truly life-changing product IMO.

Edit: Flagg, best of luck to your old man, hope it works out for him. :thumb:

I smoked for 30 years and recently began to feel sick. My Dad died of lung cancer last year. I found the Vapor King (my research revealed to be the best product) and I am slowly getting physically better. I will never go back to burning tobacco again. I had to smoke while at a Revolutionary War Rendezvous last week for a day and I ended up not smoking much of anything. If the FDA removes this product from the hands of the sick and ailing in their moment of triumph, they better think again. I will riot in the street before I go back to paying 6.00 for a pack of death in a stick. It's not much different than giving Methadone to Heroine addicts. Except that vaping really HAS to be a better choice than smoking... no question. I am finding that the change from the cigarette to the e-cig has broken my habit to the analog and if I can do that, then the next step is to gradually lower my nicotene levels and who knows...maybe I will even get off the nicotene in time.

I was a 1.5 pack a day smoker and had been smoking for 22 years. I have tried to quit before using the patch, cold turkey, gum, etc. Nothing seemed to work. My best run was about 2 weeks using the patch, but I'd still need an analog in the morning.

Picked up my first e-cig almost 2 months ago and haven't touched an analog since. The craving is completely gone. I consider smoking one now and then just to see what they are like after 2 months, but I don't want to risk it and it isn't worth the curiosity.

The e-cig has worked where nothing else would. Sure, it isn't marketed as a "stop smoking aid", but that is exactly what it has been for me.

I smoked for 35 years, the last 10 years of that I was smoking 3 packs a day.
I haven't smoked an analog since the day I got my DSE901 (just over a month ago.)
Funny thing is, I wasn't even trying to quit smoking! As a smoker, I just thought e-cigs would be a nice addition, something new to try, but certainly not something that would replace analogs.....but it DID! EASILY!

Im happily quit day one. A bunch of people at work seem to be aware of ecig but either havent used them or didnt quit with them, they still smoke analogs. Not sure why it works for some and not others. For me the big satisfier is not the nicotine, but the vapor. Must have massive clouds or I start itching for a smoke. With PTB and frequent topping off, passthrus and battery mods, I have been kept quite happy. Currently most satified when using 510 atty on the vp2 battery.

The 80%+ number here is incredibly impressive, but I guess to get a true comparison to traditional NRTs we'd need to know what percentage of people are still off analogs after a year. I know it's only been a few weeks since I quit, but I feel very confident that a year from now I'll still be analog free. Whether or not I'll still be vaping, though, I have no idea.

I started using e-cigs the day I got it and haven't smoked an analog since. The big difference for me with this compared to the other nic products is that feel comfortable being around smokers and feel no temptation whatsoever to have one. I am a photographer in L.A. and I'm always around smokers, almost constantly, and haven't felt even once that I wanted to have one. I don't have plans to quit e-cigs in the near future but I can see it coming down the road. I feel that once I completely separate myself from tobacco cigarettes it'll be easier for me to quit nicotine, when that time comes.

Also, 80% is amazing! I'll bet that actual results are a bit lower due simply to that the poll is on an e-cig forum, but i'm sure its still over 50% easily, and thats a hell of a lot better than other methods. I think the forum aspect, by nature, is a level of support for us which aids in the success rate, which is a great thing.

I wouldn't imagine that this is the success rate for everyone who ever bought a starter kit. But I think we can safely say that this is a good statistic for "regular users". And yes, I agree that support here is what helps us become regular users. I had my unit for several months and only used it occassionally -- not necessarily where it was not permitted to smoke, but more experimentally, such as when my friends were going outside to smoke the real thing. I made a conscious decision to give it a go substituting my e-cigarette for all my tobacco cigarettes. I think I will start a new thread on this topic.

I havent had a analog cigarette in 3 months, everyone is impressed. I had been a smoker for over 20 years (1 to 1/2 packs per day). My nonsmoking boyfriend is very happy for me! My old smoking room was remodeled and now is our family room. I feel like it is a gift to share with my boyfriend and his son, we sit in it together and watch tv. I can't help but smile, because of the ecigarette I can spend more quailty time with my new family!
