Well, they did it. They have aggravated me enough that I broke my pledge to no longer post "over there".

So when you read this guys... bad, bad strategy... if you would have just stopped being so "you", I would have stayed away and that would have been one less member of the e-cig team to pick off. As it is, you just welcomed me back with open arms.

I went over to read your post of course. For some reason I didn't have the old drunk in my foe list.

Got that fixed quickly.

So all is good.

Thank you Sallie,
You done great hun:toast: I notice SC has also posted. I was a little confused with the situation and wanted an expert opinion, which is what you guys have.
I've also pm'd CB and Randy to help out. I just wasn't sure how to handle it and if she does go the ecig route I want her to know how to get the right product. Thanks hun!!

OK, maybe I was trying to be polite and ended up being obtuse.

Thank you Magnus!

It's natural, not "bad" or "wrong" to have those feelings, but if we let them eclipse the good feelings, it's ourselves that end up getting hurt.

I take a lot of pills that make me very loopy, and so a lot of what I say doesn't make much sense.

Now I don't know if maybe you are taking some pills that make you a little loopy, too, and please don't be offended or take this the wrong way, but sometimes you come across as a little bit confused.

You express yourself very well, but at the same time, there's a disconnect sometimes in the views you express, they're not always in agreeement with each other.

On more than one occasion, I've seen people here express concern and even very plainly point out that some of the things you say over there, and some things you say over here, have some differences.

There's nothing wrong with being conflicted or being of two minds about something, but if we don't spell that out for people, they're the ones who end up confused.

I think that's why people sometimes ask you to "pick a side."

It may not be your intention, but things like that do sound you're letting those feelings of resentment and bitterness, etc, add onto the wrong that was done to you.

That wasn't something you could control. And it's been pointed out on multiple occasions that you are perfectly justified in feeling anger about that, and hurt, and resentment and all that stuff.

We all have a lot of feelings that are natural and justified, but they aren't all the best choice for which ones we let drive our overall emotions and how we feel about ourselves, others, and life.

We're not required to grant total power for perpetuity to things and people that hurt us. We can feel those feelings, own them - and then let them go, and let ourselves enjoy all the other, good feelings. That's something that we CAN control, and if we can't, we can get help with that.

There is no need for any of us to live our lives consumed by the worst feelings in the jar! You deserve better than that - we all do!

A lot of people get very interested in the science, and those are some of the people who are most likely to post here a lot, so I think it's easy to get a skewed view.

Most people who upgrade to e-cigarettes really do just screw one thing onto another, puff, and enjoy it.

Most of us never develop an interest in any of that tinkering, or getting the latest and greatest new piddleding, and we are certainly not interested in going out into the garage and inventing new devices, which, as you will have learned in your reading, is what the "exploding batteries" are about - not regular people using plain old e-cigarettes that are mass-produced in factories like underpants.

So basically-bottomline-get over it we don't want to hear about it or really care-you can vent but be careful over what you whine about-sure thing.

You're really REALLY determined to take absolute everything personally. Thanks for making our point(s)! Again.

*face palm*

Beth, you're letting another aspect of addiction get the best of you. That's all anybody is saying. You have to learn to let go of your resentments to finish your victory over your addiction. That is all we're saying. -Magnus

Beth, Please. Nowhere in lolady's post did she say anything even remotely like get over it, we don't want to hear about it, we don't care about it, and be careful what you whine about. Are you kidding me? If you can point out where you read any of that, specific sentences please, than maybe I can help you see what she was really saying. Or better yet, maybe lolady herself will see where the disconnect is and respond.

ETA: well, she did kinda say get over it, but she meant it (I believe) in a positive way. In other words, you need to find your way past the feelings of hurt and bitterness over your doctor and quitting smoking, and the way you've been treated in order to move on in your life in a positive way. Similar to what you did with your two lousy husbands. You got over it, kicked them to the curb and moved on.

The disconnect is that Beth WANTS a disconnect. She is thriving on redirecting her resentment into non-existent conflict. She is taking out her frustrations on addiction issues by creating external conflict to distract her from dealing with them. She repeatedly creates fire out of ether and then expects an explanation. And she expects that explanation while passively going 'I don't care' about your explanations.

It's not us telling Beth to get over anything in an aggressive fashion... it's actually Beth telling all of us to GET THE .... OVER OURSELVES in a passive aggressive fashion. -Magnus

I'll probably get banned now, but WTH.

You just asked something I've been wondering for a long time. As far as the long quit I wonder if she realizes I am just as happy with my four month quit? It's as if someone is supposed to be jealous of that. LOL

Some people just amaze me.

Yes keep that up and your days are numbered. Mwahahahahaha

(took me a minute but I finally figured out what WTH means .... LOL)
