Morning all!

Shannon, there's a "VV" Ego coming out soon like the new Piper passthru, it can be set to 3.2, 3.7, or 4.2V. I have the Piper and like it a lot.

That might be just the thing for me... decisions decisions... I heard about the VV passthru. I am actually considering that I'm almost always at my desk when I vape.

Technical writing and editorial writing are two very different writing styles. Technical writing is short, succint, and dry. It's typically written for the lowest level reading possible and tends to have a very metered presentation. Editorial style writing has more flair, interpretation, and persuasiveness to it. This style of writing can flow and challenge the reader with new words and concepts.

Not to say a writer can't fill both roles, but I think the reason everyone enjoys most of the literature here is due to the style being more alluring. Technical writing isn't really alluring....

Of course, this is just my opinion.

Ouch! Sorry to hear that. Hope you get some rest and get all healed up. :)

I am on Indian land
I miss the absent ones, too. I hope they will return. We've all had to read some things that weren't very pleasant, but good things are already resulting. Nate and Magnus have both indicated they may have some offline things going on, they are both very much in my prayers.

I had an issue with medications a couple days ago...

Randy, I'm sorry to hear you have to take pills. They're like e-cigarettes and juice. Sometimes it can take a while to get the right ones in the right amounts, and even then you may be somewhat cloudy.

I got flattened yesterday by unexpected oral surgery...

Oh you poor thing! That is one of the most flattening events that befalls us! You don't sound very loopy though. You should be drifting off comfortably while watching trashy reality shows.
Are you sure they gave you enough pills? Send someone for more.

it's based on the alcoholic addiction model of AA ie. "not one drink"...

Do you think maybe that's where some of them started, with that philosophy, and somehow it got all degraded and twisted into that odd Opus Dei-adjacent doctrine where cigarettes seem to have become more of a vessel or a vehicle for a belief system?

those pleasant tasting flavors (that the antis claim are solely to entice kids because smokers wouldn't want them) are probably the single greatest factor in making me not want a cigarette ever again!

Exactly! It's an upgrade. It's not about depriving oneself of pleasure, but obtaining mo betta pleasure. That's what makes a gap so wide that even the common ground of dumping tobacco cigarettes can't quite bridge it. I don't want to call it unbridgeable, but it's certainly bridge-resistant...

following lolady around

blue8091, Shannon, et al, I'm honored to be followed around and head-inflated that you all say such nice things, but I'm the one sitting at feet - thousands of feet, including yours and standing on your shoulders at the same time. (luckily, I've managed to remain very flexible)

I learn so much from you every day - shoot, just in the last couple of weeks, without you all, I probably would have sent off for those fancy new cartomizers, but thanks to all that feet-sitting and shoulder-standing, I've not only learned that the regular Original Recipe ones are exactly the ones I should have, I'm learning how to fill them! AND I'll be able to send off for one of those solar powered battery chargers for my UZAP ** Kit!

(if somebody will please tell me if it has the right number of electricity globules)

I expected them to be more in the $40 neighborhood like the 5vs

I don't understand the fuss about this. Anyone who wants 5 can send $10 off to litecigusa and they will send you a fine KR808-d1 electric hookah-doodle*** that you can plug into the wall with a Special Rodent and puff 5 continuously all day and all night, too, if your sleep disorder permits.

Works for me. But then, I'm easily accommodated.

I'll just sit back and wait for a longer, sleeker Cruella D'Ville type thang

Oh, yes, I forgot to tell you - I've been feeling so much better that I was able to wrestle through the boxes and piles and actually find my old cigarette holders - and I do mean OLD. ****

Yes, LibertarianNate, if you're lurking, including one very much like Audrey's.

But I am saddened to tell you that the circumference of a KR808d-1 wireless is just a teensy smoosh larger than that of a Marlboro.

So in case anybody was thinking of obtaining a cigarette holder, don't bother, because electric cigarettes will not fit in them.

Yet another bleeding, wailing gap in the market, which we will have to wait for some enterprising and fashion-conscious soul to step up and fill...

manufacturer's everywhere should hire her to write their Owner's Manuals

 Now that would be a hoot!

Technical writing is short, succinct, and dry

Thank you Clay, for such a short and succinct explanation of just what an EPIC hoot we are talking about here!

Not to mention that such projects frequently involve deadlines, which are not easily revised because somebody just didn't happened to have a cognitive function-havin' window this or that week.

I'm still trying to get those next 2 blogrants hosed off, and maybe even divided into sentences, possibly even some with fewer than 600 words!

And as so often happens, I am now laughing too hard to type!

*** The color selection is limited, but is that not why the universe has given us nail polish?

**** (They were, appropriately, stuffed in a box with some equally old pit-length gloves and little blinged out face powder containers we called "compacts" and similarly ornamental lipstick tube covers. The idea was that refreshing your powder and lipstick in public would be somehow less impolite if they were in these beautifully pimped out containers, but I have to confess that I was never able to bring myself to do that, so mine got to be admired only by whoever happened to be in the ladies room!

And now I never go anywhere. But I have resolved to decorate a couple wireless e-cigarettes from my UZAP Kit to harmonize with a couple of the compact/lipstick holder sets, and the next time I do go somewhere, even if it's only to the home of a family member for some festive occasion, I'm going to whip out my beautiful blinged stuff and apply powder and lipstick in full view of all present, and make sure that everybody notices how beautifully my e-cigarette does not "match," but "goes").

I'm wondering Lolady...what are the cigerette holders made of?wood plastic metal?

All of the above and more. Cigarette holders used to be an art form. I have one that I found in a second-hand store that's made of carved ivory. I'm sure that ivory stuff is illegal these days, but it is a beautiful piece of work.

Thanks everyone. I appreciate the sympathy and well wishes. As soon as the swelling goes down, and I no longer look like Fiona from Shrek, I should be back in business. As for lolady's suggestion that I'm not loopy enough, I think she's right. So I'm off to take loopier making drugs and go back to sleep. See y'all later.

Hey Sallie, when you get loopy enough please come back and give some contest ideas.
I'm looking for something loopy enough to get newer members to care about what's going on.

If you get enough drugs in you, you might just come up with something loopy enough to work!
As for me, I'll be trying alcohol and see where that takes me.
