I was thinking about hanging around and manning the new Electronic Cigarette subforum to answer questions and provide guidance for anyone who might rarely stumble in there to ask anything. But before doing so, I would need a clarification about the following statement from the new policy...
Electronic cigarette users are welcome here with the understanding that the ultimate goal for those users is the eventual and complete cessation of nicotine use.
If I were to be asked a question about how to quit smoking using electronic cigarettes, I would answer that you could wean down your nicotine levels at your own pace, and on your own schedule. I would not be able to insist that someone needs to set a date or follow any kind of plan. I would, however, not mention the possibility of using the nicotine indefinitely.
So this leaves me with two questions...
1) Would my reply about weaning at your own pace and on your own schedule be acceptable?
2) What would you want my reply to be should I be asked about using the nicotine indefinitely?
Your answers will determine whether or not I can stay here and try to help.
Thanks!
