Magnus I'm going to kick you tomorrow for luring me to the outside.... it oddly reminiscent of "the board which must not be named".
Edit: Make that later today

Alright Vermillion River vapers... Give me a list of non-tobacco flavors I just have to try.
I bought one of the sampler packs...
Coffee was not one of my choices. I have 6 bottles of various coffee flavors on my desk collecting dust. No need to add any more to the collection.
Lots changing "at home" and I've toned down my nature on a lot of threads due to occasional misunderstandings. Not sleeping well for months on end catches up too. -Magnus
Actually he's on my "follow this guy and laugh" list. Forum mods place a high value on entertainment. The terrorist list gets handled immediately![]()

That is all I can say on the subject, but you did ask a valid question so I felt it deserved a reply![]()

Are you and MadMac in beta right now? When can we expect the release version?
I hate to sound like pessimist and downplay anything you (DC2) and others have done here, but can you really say Hecates or Orly have quit smoking? Orly just got started with his PV. I think it's a bit early to call that a success story. Heck... I've been doing this for over two months and I'm not sure I would call myself a success story.
I also have a serious concern about some of the numbers being thrown about by Kristin and others about how successful a PV is in helping one quit smoking. How are these numbers determined? By surveys that CASAA sends out? Who do they send them to? People that registered at CASAA? People actively participating here? Either group (CASAA members or active ECF members) is probably a bit more "hardcore" than the average Joe on the street. Have surveys of those individuals been done?
I think harm reduction is a noble goal and I'm not trying to dissuade anyone from continuing to fight for it. It just seems to me that we're a bit quick to congratulate ourselves about the positives and quicker yet to dismiss the negatives.
SimplySimon appears to be well received, as does Renstyle.
I think you have little to lose and everything to gain by trying an e-cig at this point. You didn't seem to be very happy in your quit and also seemed pretty disgruntled that you had to. I can relate, so I'm not meaning to give you a hard time. If you can stay off smokes without one, then do so... but, bottom line is don't give in and smoke any more than you already have!
If you do decide to give it a try, go for zero or very low nicotine. You shouldn't need any more than that after 10 months. You'd be amazed how far even zero nicotine will go in satisfying your urges to smoke.
Meh... I don't mind the cane.
The whole sarcasm and cynicism bit was just a failed pop culture reference on my part.

More than anything else, these ecigs need to be seen as LEGITIMATE. Legitimacy in the eyes of the nay-sayers will breed it's own kind of support. Right now when the FDA is hemming and hawing about whether to ban nic juice outright for "our safety" isn't really the best atmosphere for a reasoned debate. Having that health canada recommendation on the books still isn't really helping get the positive word out either.
In a nutshell: "Don't wanna quit smoking, but know you SHOULD? That's your right, even if it kills you. There are alternatives out there you can use to help you quit. An Ecig is one of them, and has worked very well for a fairly large community of people"
And Nate You have Sarcoidosis...
The kids around here seem to think dill pickle juice makes great popsicles. go figure...
