...no way your just a housewife...

I've been very blessed in more ways than my fingers have the strength to ennumerate, but I do not now nor have I ever possessed the unparalleled combination of virtues, virtuosity, preternatural polymathism, and generally near-superhuman bonanza of exemplary qualities that are the minimum requisites for entry to the profession whose importance is second only to that of parent (for which, if possible, I'm even less suited).

...maybe an English lit Professor...?

Thank You! I would not have thought it possible that one phrase could at once contain such a sweet compliment and such a scathing indictment of some forlorn and unspecified educational system.

...your a hoot..

Backatcha and + Twinkles The Ballerina Penguin. You are also a hoot.

.remind me never to play you in poker...

No one should, ever. You would take all my money and feel so bad!* I can barely count, arithmetic is allergic to me, and all card games are just people sitting around numbering at each other.

you actually made me have to look up a word...

Cool! Now that my loopiness has reached That Point, I can drift off into my Coleridgean fugue basking in the happpy glow of a Good Deed done!

* And when you found out I don't have any, you'd feel even worse.

Soooo I'm bored and I took a political spectrum quiz... I thought I was a moderate Republican quiz says I'm libertarian what's more I'm a centrist moderate one... so I guess that means I'm almost a republican? LOL

I'm liberal on social issues and conservative on pretty much everything else (this part doesn't surprise me incidentally) AND.... this is the part I liked... I'm not like the average quiz taker!

Of course depending on how many prospective voters took that quiz that could be bad in the long run.

And yes I post stupid practically meaningless drivel when bored.

Alright Vermillion River vapers... Give me a list of non-tobacco flavors I just have to try.

Hiya Nate!
At the moment, I'm vaping Cafe Coffee with my coffee of course :) It's alot less sweet than the Carm Capp - tastes like a nice rich bold cup - touch of cream and sugar and it's YUM. I've tried everything now except for the Blueberry, Raspberry and Cinn Rolls (don't vape baked goods - blech) the tobacco lines. It's ALL good. I just got my Riva - which I got exclusively for sampling juices. Wow! Big diff from carto to dripping-especially for both the pineapple flavors. Hot Cinnamon is my all day vape and it's out of this world :) I mix it with literally anything and everything - it's my ejuice ketchup :D You really can't go wrong - try a 6pk sampler of his fruits...

**trying to catch up on thread...i'm still back on pg 684 or something...lol**

I bought one of the sampler packs...

Coffee was not one of my choices. I have 6 bottles of various coffee flavors on my desk collecting dust. No need to add any more to the collection.

LOL make that pg 695 and I can see I missed the "VR recommendation" boat :D I also see you searching for carts and recently found my sweet spot there - I use 808xls exclusively (aside from dripping and pass-thru) and since I don't know what PV you use.....but I am loving the MF Jumbo Drippers from Nhaler (so far I've got 52 drops in one - no gurgling - vapes great) and my Volts (1ml) also MF - from Smokeless Image. I have a pic of the jumbos in my stash album on profile if you want to take a peek!

I keep seeing the Saphires popping up all over the place. Is this another clearomizer? I got some G5's to play around with - cant go mobile with these - but on my pass thru - AWESOME. So far I've filled 5 w/diff flavs - on 3rd refill on some of them and so far no leaks or kablam issues. I keep them vertical at all times. Can't wait until this idea is perfected - seems like I'm seeing the saphires are still having same issues?

It saddens me to see that Moved On=Forever. Is there really no way to reverse this? I ask because a dear friend has suffered this fate and I feel it is my fault completely. As a newbie, I dug up an old thread on a search, refreshed it with a post, which caught his attn and ultimately resulted in a reply that got him banned. I feel so awful about this - just cannot convey the regrets I have on this. I miss him posting very much - he brought alot to this forum IMO. I've received quite a few PMs from other members inquiring about him - I know lurkers probably wonder too. Also, all is not as it seemed with him - he's really NOT a vendor - but he is one to stand his ground and he just had a moment where he got irritated. Even if his status remains unchanged - whom might I write to in support of this "former" ECF member and his integrity? I know off topic - so please feel free to PM me! Thanks!

FYI:
Sinbin = 3 days
Suspended = 7 day
Moved on = Forever
Banned (all variants) = Forever

Mods will not discuss actions against members to anyone other than the member, and there are procedures in place for that on the contact page.

That is all I can say on the subject, but you did ask a valid question so I felt it deserved a reply :)

Oh my! I've assaulted page 719!! I'm still back on 709 and have to split for a while. Sorry guys! I had a few busy days...note to self - no busy days on this thread!

I'll try to mingle more :)

I'm starting to do the very same. Beth had some kitties get out loose, which is a subject close to my heart (all of my seven cats at home are rescues). Gave me an easy segway.

Too bad she smoked :( but we all know it's not the end of the world. She'll be OK.

I hate to sound like pessimist and downplay anything you (DC2) and others have done here, but can you really say Hecates or Orly have quit smoking? Orly just got started with his PV. I think it's a bit early to call that a success story. Heck... I've been doing this for over two months and I'm not sure I would call myself a success story.

I also have a serious concern about some of the numbers being thrown about by Kristin and others about how successful a PV is in helping one quit smoking. How are these numbers determined? By surveys that CASAA sends out? Who do they send them to? People that registered at CASAA? People actively participating here? Either group (CASAA members or active ECF members) is probably a bit more "hardcore" than the average Joe on the street. Have surveys of those individuals been done?

I think harm reduction is a noble goal and I'm not trying to dissuade anyone from continuing to fight for it. It just seems to me that we're a bit quick to congratulate ourselves about the positives and quicker yet to dismiss the negatives.

It is not so much measuring the true quit as the final determination. Orly went from 3 packs a day (40-60 cigs each day) to less than 5 per day in the span of weeks. He was confident that he could work the ecig method and not go back to smoking cigs. To me that is considered a win. Giving it a fair shot, and having the support to keep you going. Quitting smoking with an ecig is just like any other 'method' in so many ways. Hecates did not seem to need much in the way of support other than information (pretty much the same as I did). The fact that they are giving the ecig method a fair shot is what makes the difference, and how I could count their experiences as a "win".

More than anything else, these ecigs need to be seen as LEGITIMATE. Legitimacy in the eyes of the nay-sayers will breed it's own kind of support. Right now when the FDA is hemming and hawing about whether to ban nic juice outright for "our safety" isn't really the best atmosphere for a reasoned debate. Having that health canada recommendation on the books still isn't really helping get the positive word out either.

20 years from now we will sigh heavily just before we all have a good laugh about how nutty this fight has become, cuz it really is silly.

I always thought the CASAA information was very fair and balanced (not in the FOXNews sense at all here).

In a nutshell: "Don't wanna quit smoking, but know you SHOULD? That's your right, even if it kills you. There are alternatives out there you can use to help you quit. An Ecig is one of them, and has worked very well for a fairly large community of people"

SimplySimon appears to be well received, as does Renstyle.

And there lies the rub... Simon quit everything, was always his intent to do so. Kudos on that for him :thumb:

Me on the other hand, just wanted to challenge myself. Got my 48bottle shipment from Honeyville yesterday (FINALLY). Got two of each flavor, one zero nic, the other 24mg (the highest they had).

My intention is to use the nic liquids for those that have already asked me about ecigs and try with nicotine.

I spent the whole nite last nite trying to burn out my atty dripping the zero flavors, and they taste pretty good!

Then I tried some of the 24mg straight.... kicked my tail really hard! The "sting" of that much nic actually made the experience unpleasant. Then I tried to mix a little 24 with zero and tested at 18, 12, 6, 3. For myself, none of these that had the nicotine added any "flavor" or "texture" to the experience, kinda like running into that one sour grape in the bunch. Still tasted good, but I prefer the zero now. My desire for "killer throat hit" has apparently waned to the point where it is a detraction.

So for me the nicotine does nothing more than serve as a "flavor enhancer" akin to mint or menthol, and I am starting to prefer my ecig without it (the blueberry muffin was actually wonderful with NO steeping)!

How many folks out there are like my parents and just need to quit smoking so they don't die early? I don't give a hoot about them being dependent on nicotine for the rest of their lives if it means they get it and STILL STOP SMOKING! There are millions out there that believe the line on nicotine being just evil and the lynchpin to everything dirty about cigarettes. Our discussions regarding the OTHER chemicals acting as MAOIs contained within cigs highlight this fallacy.

My stance has always been to stop smoking and deal with the nicotine question on your own. Ecigs give me the ritual I need to stay away from the smokes, and I'm certain many others out there could benefit from their use, even with zero nic and coupled with another nicotine-delivery method.

If I was still using nicotine daily nothing I ever say/said would matter one bit to those that see the demon. More people will come around to this revelation, sooner than later I hope. Ecigs only promote this discussion in a positive way (IMHO).

I think you have little to lose and everything to gain by trying an e-cig at this point. You didn't seem to be very happy in your quit and also seemed pretty disgruntled that you had to. I can relate, so I'm not meaning to give you a hard time. If you can stay off smokes without one, then do so... but, bottom line is don't give in and smoke any more than you already have!

If you do decide to give it a try, go for zero or very low nicotine. You shouldn't need any more than that after 10 months. You'd be amazed how far even zero nicotine will go in satisfying your urges to smoke.

I'm with Randy go for zero beth! You will be amazed how satisfied you can be and still not get any nicotine.

I agree with your post and to me one of the biggest problems is in the name.
Electronic cigarette was a great marketing tool when it hit the market but it couldn’t be worse for us now. People that don’t smoke only see the word ‘cigarette’ case closed. I know it is very unrealistic to think we could change it now but I think it would make a huge difference if folks saw it as a PV or Steamer.

The kids around here seem to think dill pickle juice makes great popsicles. go figure...

Okay, I've had people agree with me, I've had people insist drinking pickle juice is gross, but I've never heard of it in a popsicle. Now I'm thinking I am odd because I find myself considering it. Though in my defense, weeks at 100+ degrees Fahrenheit will make you consider freezing anything.
