CASAA will become what it's members help it become. The more that join, the more resources it will have and the bigger the brain trust becomes. They need help from other folks and the ideas many people have could be used to strengthen CASAA as well.
I for one am very hopeful CASAA can grow into a force to be reckoned with. They need all the help they can get!!

I agree with all you said, and I'm happy to hear that CASAA would be open to those types of media! I've joined CASAA and read the material, I've sent emails and written letters, I respond to news articles and I tell everyone I know about ecigs & potential threats from bans & the FDA. I guess I'm just looking for more to do... that will make an impact.
Come to the next meeting on Sunday and we can brainstorm! Love to hear any ideas you have.
The meeting is online already. CASAA members are spread far and wide and we don't have local chapters yet (not enough people) so our meetings have been online. We met on Skype last week, but that only allows 25 people. So we will hopefully have a different online venue set up this week that can accommodate many more people. If you are a member of CASAA and we have your email address, you will get an update on when and how to attend.
Have you all thought about blog tv, Along with the streaming video of the meeting, There is a chat box on the side, and someone who is acting as (Oh for frack sakes, can't remember the name) Can invite people to call in to voice thier statements, and there is no limit of the amount of people who can watch, and be apart of it. I can even set up the blog tv account if need be and teach you how to set it up.
Our webmaster (and President) owns an internet company and he says they have an application we can probably use. Thanks for the tip, though!

Kristen, If posting a comment on a anti e cig article on the the internet witch page on the CASA website would you send send them to?
I guess it depends upon what they are addressing. The link to the resources page I posted is a good one - that will get them started on seeing/finding the facts. If it's something specific, link to the actual article or report that answers their question.
I understand that, I was meaning more, in the sense that someone has to be on it to MC the event someone has to be on cam for the initial part, I also think there is plenty of voice and cam chat programs that can be used.

Cool! And I'm still working on it. I also added a link to Dr. Siegel's paper and a link to the Tobacco Harm Reduction 2010 Yearbook to the Journal articles page.
That will definitely make it easier to find what I look for when battling the local anti-tobacco/nicotine league who have reared their ugly heads again this morning in our local paper. 
Wellll! Yes if you are already determined to to do a lot of research. What I am looking for is something that will capture the attention of a smoker ar anyone else that doesn't know anything.
On the CASA website can you say things like:
FDA study shows electronic cigerettes much safer than tobacco.
The best way to cut down kiiller tobacco.
Boston University clams electronic cigarettes safer than tobacco.
Pictures would really help.
In other words I want somtething that will capture the viewres attention and lead them into the facts about vaping and harm reduction. If they have to search for facts you will only be preaching to the already converted.

Better but not what I would call attention grabbing, hard hitting or easy to read.
The work you guys have done is good as far as presenting factual information. However when it comes to communication with ordinary people it is somewhat lacking.
Don't we have people who on this site with some expertise in communication and web design that would be willing to work on a webpage. Maybe there should be a web design contest along with a video contest.
Please don't take any of this as a criticism of the work you have done. I can see that you put a lot of time and effort into this.
