Hi,

I'm not a heavy smoker which means I only smoke a few sigarettes once a week when I drink. I bought smoke51 duo starter kit which come with regular strength cigs - 6mg. I only did two puffs, but it felt like i smoked the whole pack of reds. My left arm went numb, heart started racing and I could not fall asleep all night long. The next day I had the worst hang over. My wife felt the same way.

So unless you are a heavy smoker this thing is not for you because you are getting pure nicotine in huge amounts. This thing will actually make you addicted to nicotine and make you want to smoke more. Also there is a really good chance to overdose on nicotine with this thing since you have no concept of how much you are getting with each puff. They say the cig starts to blink when it "thinks" you had too many puffs. But do you really want to put your life into hand of some questionable "technology"?

I'm predicting that there going to be lots of ODs on this eciggarettes in the future.

Either you're full of it, or you both had an allergic reaction - nothing to do with nicotine.

1) There is no chance of overdosing. Do you have any idea how much nicotine needs to be in your system? Let me describe.

* Put the nicotine patch all over yourself.
* Chainsmoke reds
* Chew nicorette
* Pop some commit losenges

Do all that at the same time.... and you may get nicotine poisoning.

See how horribly stupid your statement is?

2) It blinks when the battery is dying, genius.

I'm predicting that there going to be lots of ODs on this eciggarettes in the future.

:rolleyes:

@Hunter whatever ********
read the manual dummy ...

.....

How about you do a little learning before making outrageous (and downright wrong) statements?

I won't take issue with something thats an actual problem, but blatant ridiculous and ignorant behavior sets me off.

Congratulations, you've made a post on an internet forum thingie and annoyed people.

yes sounds like you had a reaction to something else!:( the nic in e-cigs is actually lower then real cig since its not fully absorbed in the body its like only 10% but if you felt that way and you think it was from the e-cig i would suggest you dont use it till you educate yourself with it so you wont hurt yourself i can promise you that this what you are explaining is not normal at less from just a puff or two from 6mg maybe i could see if you were not a smoker and not use to nic you would probably get a little light headed but i would THINK not all the reactions you had hopefully someone here can help you more to figure out what it was and what causeing this like i said its definately not normal so please dont use till further notice i would be hurt to hear someone had a accident due to E-cigs there are alot of smart helpful ppl here on the forums that would be glad to help you!!

Hello Ruslan,
So sorry to hear you had a bad reaction to your smoke51.

Just to clarify - in a 6mg cartridge you are not "getting pure nicotine in huge amounts"You are getting a relatively low amount of nicotine mixed in the liquid (probably pg)

If you only smoke a few analogs when you've been drinking your nicotine intake and tolerance may very well be quite low.

As many here have said and as is on most e-cig websites - these products are not for non-smokers. A few cigs one day a week - and while your body is under the influence of alcohol -might suggest that, while you do smoke occasionally, you fall closer to the 'non-smoker' category.

Yes, nicotine is an addictive substance. Those of us who used to smoke daily and choose e-cigs to substitute - are already addicted to it. We also monitor our intake - based on how we feel and the liquids are labelled with nicotine level to assist us in making choices that work for each of us - individually.

It sounds like you and your wife's best choice for each of you- is not e-cigs.

They are not for everyone as each of us has our own unique metabolism and reaction to anything we choose to put in our bodies. (that's why the massive warnings of side-effects for 'approved and Dr. prescribed medicines')

NO - your e-cig does not 'think' - so it cannot blink when it "thinks you have had too many puffs". That is the battery which needs time before it will work again. I've never had one blink after just 2 normal puffs - nor even 4 (2 each for you and wife)

It is good for you to pay attention to how you feel, how your body reacts AND to decide what does and does not work for you.

To claim 'many will OD in the future' - for those who do not smoke regularly, are not accustomed to nicotine or ignore the information available and continue to puff if it does not agree with them - well that's just not smart when doing ANYTHING!

Just like drinking too much or taking any drug- prescription, over-the-counter, or otherwise.

Again - sorry to hear you didn't feel well. And glad you discovered they are not for you with just a minimal sample to make that very clear.

Blessings - and I hope you both are feeling much better.

Look around and do some more reading. I mix my own I use glycerin and flavorings no nicotine. PG and I do not get along well. Like I said before your reaction is not the norm. So if you would like to use the product I would suggest you do more reading before you do so. I spent days and days reading and watching vids on this site before I decided to jump in.

This whole thing smell fishy to me. Sorry, the story may be true, but neither PG or nic will cause those specific symptoms. An allergic reaction may exhibit itself in rashes, difficulty breathing, in extreme cases swelling, etc. Racing heart and left hand numbness is more a sign of a cardiac reaction to a stimulant. But there just isn't enough nic, even in high nic juice for that extreme a reaction- much less numbness.
Do you suffer from anxiety, by any chance? Panic disorder?

As for people ODing all over the place, these things have been on the market for years. With even less information than we have now, and no reports yet of Nic ODs.

Anyway, whatever the case, just stay away from then. But do us all a favor and save the hyperbole. We have enough problems with the FDA now to deal with nervous Nellies making outrageous generalizations.

You are not addicted to nicotine, and you should not be using this product.

You need to do your homework. As far as we know, you get LESS nicotine from ecigs than you would from smoking the equivalent number of cigarettes.

Only if you're an idiot and decide to use it when you're NOT ADDICTED TO NICOTINE IN THE FIRST PLACE.

Which you clearly learned while doing your extensive research on this product.

Depending on your model, the LED blinks when the battery is dying, or when the atomizer is too hot and needs to cool down.

Your ecig has no idea how much nicotine you're vaping.

But it's still smarter than you are...

I haven't received my first vp yet, but I even know that on the websites that I was browsing through clearly stated that if you just smoke a couple of cigarettes a week, this is not for you. So, I think you should have read a bit further before you purchased so you wouldn't come on a forum like this and make some dramatic claims that are simply not warranted. The WHO (World Health Organization) even says that you receive even LESS nicotine from a pv than from a regular cigarette. It really sounds like a reaction to the PG (I am not making a diagnosis on-line either. :))

I don't think I'm wrong and I have been constantly researching the whole e-cig revolution and I have seen that pretty consistently. Stick to your one cig a week.

Another thing, why would you come on a forum like this, make these claims and call people names that are clearly here to help? It's equivalent to going over to a strangers house and then cursing them for their taste in decor! It makes no sense!

I still can't wait for my package! :)
