E-cigs banned? What will you do?

If e-cigs are banned outright, what will you do?

  • I'll continue to vape and hope for the best!

  • I guess I'll stop vaping (and NOT go back to analogs).

  • I've got stockpiles, hopefully they'll hold me over!

  • I'm looking into mods and alternatives and DIY liquid.

  • PANIC!!

  • *Vape, vape, vape* I'm not worried, really.

  • I'll get my e-cig parts, no matter what!

  • I'll get my liquid, no matter what!

  • It's back to analogs and/or FDA approved NRT's for me :(

  • I've already begun hoarding, and will continue to do so.

  • I'll attempt small orders and hope they make it through.

  • I'll just take my chances and not make any changes (using, buying).

  • I'll do everything in my power to rally for the ban to be lifted!

  • Ban? What ban?

  • I don't have a plan and I don't know what I'm going to do.

I have been stocking up now for the last 3 months now--mostly bulk orders from China. So I have enough to last a long time now. By the time I run out of supplies, some resolution hopefully will be completed.---Sun

One thing I will also do is continue to have my voice heard - this is a fight I will not abandon! For the first time in my life I've found a cause - something that impacts more than just me or my immediate family, and I can't just walk away from that.

Yes, yes, yes! This is a matter of life and death. To worry only about ourselves and our own supplies, knowing what we know, is selfish.

I am really scared. This is the only thing that is keeping the cravings away and keeps me off analogs. I really believe I can slowly reduce nicotine until I am off completely with e-cigs. But I will probably need a year.

I think there are several reasons e-cigs work for me like nothing else, but the main one probably is that I don't have the "pressure" to stop smoking -- I treat e-cigs as switching to a new brand of cigs, don't think of it as "stop smoking" device although ultimately that is what will happen.

The other thing is that I still get the nicotine that helps get rid of cravings. E-cigs also provide a type of ritual that a smoker has (remove analog cig from a pack, light it, put it out, etc). I keep my e-cigs in a case, so I also need to remove it, screw in battery, drip few drops of liquid, recharge the bat, etc -- also a ritual.

FDA approved bupropion medication for smoking cessation even though there is danger of seizures, hypertension, and other not very pleasant side-effects. Could e-cigarette be more dangerous? I don't think it possible.

This is sad. I told my husband the other day that I'd have to start being a mule. Travel to places this stuff is legal and bring it back. I'll have gallon jug labeled shampoo that will be full of eliquid. Then I'll have to disassemble atomizers and ship them in pieces to be reassembled after I get home.

OK, I was being sarcastic.... but still. It's a thought.

I'm ALMOST off nicotine. I've been vaping 1/2 PG & 1/2 Bickfords in the Iolite. Zero-nic juice only for 3 days now. My hope is that they will leave the "herbal" vaporizers alone, and if they go after the devices it'll be the ones ifentified specifically as "e-cigarettes."

I love my Iolite, and it's part of a canon of "paraphanalia" devices that's been in a legal gray area for a fairly long time, and are generally tolerated/ignored.

I may be able to hold out.

If worse comes to absolute worst, I suppose I could vape American Spirit in the Iolite.

I think 0 nic juice will come into play here. I will vape and chew nicotine gum at the same time.
I hope the suppliers start stocking up on the no nic. juice.
I would think the juice without the nicotine will remain legal.

You have an awsome idea there! Only problem is, will we be able to get 0 nic juice? I bet thats a yes! propolyne glycol wont be banned. Thank you so much for posting this DaveB, it may be a lifesaver!:)

I know for me going back to analogs isn't going to be an option. I have hated cigarettes for the past 10 years. I enjoy the taste of a good cigar or a pipe but cigarettes taste like crap.
My addiction isn't with the act of smoking it's with the getting nicotine to feel normal. Since I've been using Snus I feel I'm in a pretty good position not to go back to analogs. It is my main intake of nicotine and I'm happy with it. Add my new found world of Snuff and I'm even better off.

If they decide to take away Snus and Snuff well that's a whole new ball game then.:(

If all else fails Sun is only an hour away from me.....:D

i have maybe.... 2 months of stock on juice , not very much i know... few replacement atomizers and batteries for various models. i suppose i will keep trying to buy PV's and Juice until i truly can't anymore , then i will probably just quit everything all together... that was the original plan anyway , i wasn't planning on vaping more than 1 month or so... little did i know that would turn into 5 and counting...
