I guess if e-cigs become mainstream there will be a lot more of this. Personally I would avoid shovelling the e-cigs down someones throat and only if they ask and seem reasonable and open minded would I explain them. I find the smell of cigarette smoke pretty awful now but I'm not anti-smoking, I did it for so long that it would be incredibly hypocritical, I even allow people to smoke in my home and keep an ashtray since so many of my friends do still smoke. I'm still a nic junky even if I can go five hours without so much as a twitch.

I don't push e-cigs on anyone out of fear they'll buy one, not realize it's not as easy as buying a pack, opening it a lighting one up. There is a learning curve and frankly I don't want to be "that guy".

Not everyone has the ability or the desire to learn a new habit like I have.

And with that said, thank god I did, I can only wish the same success on many of my friends who still smoke and to the people I don't know who are trapped.

I learned the hard way that I don't wanna be that girl!!!

I don't show people anymore, if they ask about it, I tell them what it is and say google it lol. So tired of being the one thats called in the middle of the night hey my only atomizer doesnt work anymore you got one I can have, or I let myself run out of liquid can I get some from you. Even after I tell them to buy extra stuff.

Sorry to hear your friend turned into one of 'them'. I recommend beatings until his morale improves.
You can smoke in a bar? Where is this magical land? Is it Narnia or Unicormpuppykittiegumdrop Land? I miss smoking at a bar, not worring some drunken lout is going to put something in my drink, or worse...take it away :(

Oh- its Michigan. Go Spartans!

LOL! That's great! My husband quit smoking the hard way and has turned seriously anti-smoking on me. (I still smoke about 10 analogs a day) We finally had a big blow up about it and he says he has to demonize cigarettes in his mind in order to stay away from them. I can understand that but did ask him to not demonize ME in the process and to keep his thoughts to himself. If it helps him stay quit then thats good, but man!

I get really annoyed and upset at all the 'anti' crap that so many vapers come out with.

Me too. It's really unbelieveable in some cases. I love smokers ... salt of the earth. That's validated at every smoking designated area I've been at. They're welcome in my house anytime and they can smoke all they want.

Let people wonder if they ask good if not then they can assume the worst. Leave me vape in peace and silence, I like my angry fog bank that I am creating.

I just have to deal with the mouthy overly loud coffee offspring in the morning. She has been riding me about vaping instead of smoking.
I finally told her when she grows enough of a friggin clue she could offer her thoughts on anything I do.
Same goes for my boss when I do go out and have a half of a single.

I went out with a friend to a bar the other night. We started smoking around the same time, ten or eleven years ago ( I'm 28 and he's 30). He recently bought a 510 two weeks ago after seeing the success I've had quitting traditional smoking.

We sat at the bar sharing a pitcher of beer when a couple the seats next to us lit up. My friend looked at me and whined, "Can we move further down the bar? I can't take all this smoke". Now from what I know he's been "analog" free for probably about a week, and I wouldn't be surprised to find half a pack of Reds in his pants pocket. I just sort of ignored him and continued to watch the Yankees buy another championship.

Before I knew it, my friend was lecturing and pitching his ecig to this poor couple in a way that made the late Billy Mays seem timid.

He went on and on about how great his ecig was and how he never thought he'd ever quit. How the man was trying to ban his beloved ecig. How Phillip Morris makes most of it's profits from kidnapping young women and selling their organs on the black market. Okay, I made that last part up, but he was way over the top.

I've only been vaping for about four or five months now and I still consider myself a noob to the ecig world. It really angers and annoys me when I see people who are new to ecigs or people who have recently quit take such a militant stance towards tobacco and their former smoking compatriots. I mean seriously, we all remember those annoying people who would see us light up and spew their anti smoking facts at us. Don't be one of those people.

This just cracked me up..I almost went pee in my pj's! My neighbor and I went of cigs at the same time..I used my 510 and she went on Welbutrin and the patch....Well now she is more holy than christ himself and I am the devil with my space cig! I dont even want to invite her over anymore because she wont get off my case about it..I told her this is more of a habbit at this point. Our stories are not the same but I can understand where your coming from!

Yeah, but it happens to the few and maybe the many... they find a great thing build themselves a golden calf around it... putting down their fishing poles and going on that journey of conversion.....they are a terrible bunch that feel that just because X is great for them and X is better than Y and even though they were once Y they act as though if you aint X you aint sheets.
