I have a Ego vision clearomizer and started using a new E-Juice Supplier. The mouth piece section that goes into the clearomizer has started to strip away and appears to be melting. What can be the cause of this?

Welcome to ECF. As mentioned, some e-juices don't play nice with plastics, though it usually is an issue with the tank/tube of the clearomizer, since that is the part that comes in direct contact for prolonged periods with the liquid. I suppose condensation or such could also be an issue with the tip.

I've been using a Menthol blend from a supplier located in my city, and I've now come across other stories like mine. So certain falvoured juices affect the plastic in negative ways. Is this a health hazard?

Straight menthol isn't normally a problem. But if it's a spearmint masquerading as menthol or a real menthol combined with a tank cracking flavor...

Thanks again everyone, Should I be worried about any health issues?

burning/melted/degraded plastic should not be assumed "healthy" by any stretch. you should also be worried about getting a lap or battery full of juice at some point

try not to use "tank cracking" juices with plastic tanks. get yourself a protank mini or some other glass tank and you're golden.

I'd say only worry about health issues if: a) you are feeling ill, or b) you continue to use the tank with the same liquid. I had a similar thing happen to one of my Kanger MT3S with a citric flavor. I didn't notice any ill effects. In fact, I didn't even notice that the crack was there until I was rinsing my tank. That tank has since been put to pasture and I'm still walking around, feeling fine, two weeks later.

In the Big Picture of things? No. As you have found out once you discover a problem it's not like you could continue to use a damaged clearo for weeks on end. You can't, especially if it starts leaking due to the damage.

From what I recall a chemist explained here that while the plastic itself is falling apart it's not changing into something that can create an e-liquid/plastic vaping mixture in the process. You would have to dig around ECF - most likely in that thread I referred you to - to read more about that.

And in the greater scheme of all that very unhealthy stuff some of us inhaled for decades when smoking...

I'm not concerned about it. Happened to me once. Caught it, stopped it - never used a plastic clearo again. I really liked that Kanger T3s too. :( But even with me doing my diligence and checking for "tank cracker" liquids one got past me and the place making it. Since you can't even be 100% certain you won't have a problem even when you are checking... I just gave up and moved to glass only clearos and other tanks after that. Then you never have to think about it.
