Yes yes I will. Fortunatly my lungs are not made of polycarbonate and have been inhaling these *toxic* ingredients for years cooking and eating foods. The extracts are safe and it is a simple matter of a chemical reaction. Heck some marinades for steak/chicken will do the same thing if you put it in a cheap container. Does that make it harmful or toxic?

Hahaha..... I don't know that there's much that would save Kodak. They were so cutting edge back in the day, but completely missed the digital ship and are spending time playing catch up. LOL

Seems most of the corrosive ingredients are citric acids, cinnamon, and other very strong flavors. I'm going to have to do a little digging, because now I'm curious about why they react. I can have orange juice in my fridge in plastic or a cardboard carton and it doesn't eat through. Interesting.

I have had no issue with the fruit flavors/ lemon-lime from pink spot... so I know it is not all citrus...

I'm running peach and raspberry sweet tea and cool watermelon from Kick Bass Vapors, so good with those. I just check the list on here, and if I have something questionable, I'll throw it in a carto for now. Not gonna chance cinnabomb in the clearo. I love the clearos and wish I could put everything in there.... but most of my all day vapes are things that won't hurt them anyway.

I'm plotting a trip to Juicy Vapor in Buffalo, it's an hour a way, they have over 800 flavors, and you can taste test and they'll mix your flavors to order right there. THAT will be awesome. I'll have a taste-a-thon and come back with only juices I love.

That OJ is probably in polyethylene (HDPE), which is a lot more chemical resistant than polycarbonate...but then may degrade and add that plasticky taste into the flavor, so drink it fast!

Just a thought for those who don't wanna risk cracking their clearos: how about getting a cheap thin sheet of polycarbonate cut into small pieces and testing questionable juices on that first? The main difference of polycarbonate from other plastics is that it contains and leaches BPA (that's why it's bad for water and baby bottles). Maybe that's what the chemicals in liquids are reacting to? Or how about going more organic with liquids? Do those crack 'em too? Dunno. But right now it's the industry standard, so we may be stuck with it for a little while...but clearos are fairly new, so who knows...ah, technology...

Have fun at Juicy Vapor. Wow, I wish Tasty Vapor could've been as accommodating as that when I went to visit!

I've seen it only mentioned by the chinese factories, no other explanation.
Could be something simple but they just use a stupid code.

EDIT:
After serius scientific research (i used google) it seems the new material is Polypropylene Copolymer Plastic which is used in tanks, electroplating, galvinizing etc.

Just the e-cig factories use a stupid name for it.... like i said above.

It's a polymer of polyethylene.

Thanks for finding that, Konstantine. Well, I guess it's a little closer to food-grade and does seem to be more chemical-friendly...but dang, no colors? :grr::laugh:

Here it is :( This happened in less than 20 minutes. The plastic is very soft feeling now as well. What sucks is I had it sitting in my Volt case and it made a mess!

YIKES! Ditch the clearos and get you a Phiniac tank! Pyrex glass, nearly unbreakable, and beautiful! NO juice will kill those, I'm using 3 in rotation daily and haven't managed to even kill the o-rings no matter what juice I add to them..... :)

What would be needed to put a Phiniac Tank on my 1300 Volt x2?

Colors may weaken the plastic. I'm not sure which colors work fine.
From what little I read, just clear in the transparent. Everything else would be opaque - not even frosted/cloudy translucent... :(
Plus, doesn't polypropylene/polyethylene degrade pretty fast?

You theoretically could use the Smokeless Image XL cartos on the Phiniac XL Tank size, being they are KR8008. You'd also need to punch or slot holes in the carto. This setup could work, but it would be REALLY top-heavy, especially with over 5 ml of juice in a full tank. But do you really want to put a $40 (at minimum) tank on your X2? If you wanted, you could use a smaller Phiniac tank, but might need to get a 808 to 501 adapter to use a different cartomizer than SI's.

There are far cheaper and easier solutions if you want to use special juices on your X2. My advice, save the bling Phiniacs for when you get your first mod.
:p
