Clearomizer friendly juices

Hey everyone,

I'm trying to get a list going of all e-juices of any brand that are friendly to the SI clearomizers and related products. My reason for wanting this list is largely personal, as so far I've only tried SI's brand of juice and tasty vapor juices, and I've run into several issues with the latter. So far, I've bought tasty vapor's blueberry pie and their gummy bear liquid. Both are delicious, but they cause their own issues for my CE3s. The blueberry flavor clogs the wicks and makes it near impossible to hit, and the gummy bear has caused noticeable "fogging" or "clouding" in the clearomizer. I've read on another thread about the dangers of essential oils and other stuff being used in juices, and so I want to see from you guys what juices are in the clear to use.

Also, if a juice has caused an issue with a clearomizer from SI, let me know and what is wrong with it. I'm hoping that I can get a nice list going, if not for just myself but everyone's use.

My aim is to compile a list of juice and flavorings that may cause problems as far as cracking polycarbonate tanks. Anything listed here may cause your polycarbonate tank to crack. I am primarily focused on the polycarbonate tanks, although this info may apply to other tanks.

***Most, if not all, polycarbonate plastic by nature uses BPA in its manufacturing You can read about BPA leaching from plastics. Just google BPA. IMHO, it's just another good reason to move away from polycarbonate material.

Polypropylene is my personal choice for tank tubing because it it inexpensive and durable. This is the same material that is used to make syringes. Polypropylene tubing can be purchased here: McMaster-Carr. You can use 5/8"id x 3/4od for Liquinator tanks, Lil mama tanks, Big daddy tanks, Jtanks, and others. This tubing has a very slight curve to it, but will not be noticeable when cut to a short length. The popular DCTanks can now be found made from polypropylene tubing. Polypropylene will not crack from a chemical reaction from using juices on this list. For some reason, most vendors are not stating the fact that these are made from polypropylene. IMO this is an excellent selling point that they are missing... These tanks can be used with some XL cartos, or they can be easily cut down to fit a standard sized carto, my personal preference, since I have a few dozen tanks, and I can't afford the pricier ones.

Glass tanks are also a great alternative.

I am personally not familiar with the Vision Stardust type tanks. From what I hear, they are polycarbonate and folks seem to be having the same issues with cracking/frosting.

Also, bear in mind that different vendors may use different ingredients to make the same flavors. So, a flavored e juice you get from one vendor that is safe for yout tank may not be safe from another vendor, or vice versa. For instance, I have no trouble at all with VaporGod strawberry kiwi, but Mrs. T's strawberry shortcake will probably crack a polycarbonate tank. Also, just because a certain juice may crack my polycarbonate tank, it may not crack yours. I don't know why... Clear as mud, huh?

Here is the list so far. Everything listed here has caused someone a problem with a polycarbonate tank. Some have reported no issues whatsoever with some of these juices/flavorings. Use at your own risk with polycarbonate tanks.

Perfumer's Apprentice lists triactetin as in ingredient in some of their flavors, so be sure to check that out.

Disclaimer: These are not "bad" juices. They just have the potential to cause cracking in tank systems using polycarbonate tubing.

Also flavors with cinnamon and 100% VG juices are known to cause problems with plastic tanks

Yes definitely higher VG juices cause problems with clearomizers. In fact, there's a list of known problem juices. I'll include that in the OP.

Hate to double post, but c'mon guys. Please help me out here. As much as I'm okay with using cartomizers for the juices that wreak havoc on my CE3s, I'd prefer to continue using CE3s so I'd appreciate your input on what is safe to use so I have some knowledge when shopping!

I have had no problems with using any of the Vermillion River liquids in clearos (I've personally used 9 of their flavors); notably, the Cinnamon Rolls works just fine. Be advised: I have not tried their Cinnamon Red Hots, it that's the correct name. If they have anything that doesn't work well with a particular delivery device, they'll own up to it; you just have to ask.
Niquid's Biscotti, Strawberry Fuzz, and Butterscotch all do well in the clearos.

The only cinnamon liquid that I've had is SI's NiQuid which causes no problems. I have another vendor's Buttered Rum which also plays well. I use all clearomizers except the CE3's so I can't comment on those.
