I have a hypothesis: We're getting our nicotine by dripping e-liquid on our fingers. The vaping is just a fun activity unrelated to our nicotine intake. Here are my observations:

Those who have had their blood level checked and showed nicotine content are experienced vapors.

Experienced vapors fill their own carts/tanks/etc.

Nicotine is absorbed through the skin, as demonstrated by nicotine patches.

E-cig juice has lots of nicotine.

Filling your own carts/tanks/etc. usually includes your fingers getting wet with E-cig juice.

Those who have had their blood level checked notice they have much less nicotine in their system than they expected.

Those who have had their blood level checked start doing math to see how much nicotine they are getting by vaping, but do not take into account dripping high nicotine content juice on their hands frequently.

What do you think?

I think if your that sloppy , you need to wear gloves . Secondly , most people don't vape that high of a nic level , so what little bit might get on their hands , won't amount to squat . If you don't like nicotine , stop eating tomatoes and potatoes , they both have more nic in them , than the little that may get on your fingers from filling your carto's / carts or atty's . So in essence , you sound like the kid " yelling wolf " But again , that's only what I think .

i guess my hypothesis is not popular.

You will get some juice on the skin but not much. Most of us do not use high nic levels. I use a paper towel to wipe things off and catch drips etc. Once you do DIY you get pretty good at not dripping things because it is wasteful, you could be vaping it! bnrk LOL :vapor:

Something to think about. But my hands have never been softer!
That could be the glycerin. I put plain no nic glycerin on my hands. It is used in skin care products. Great for the skin, just don't put the nic juice on your skin, be sure it is plain vegetable glycerin. bnrk

Thanks for the tip....I just ordered some plain vg and will definitely try this on my hands and face. Between cold weather and vaping my skin is really dry.

Kinda unrelated but I got violently sick when I tried wearing the patch for an extended period of time. Was in bed feeling like I was going to die for a day or so before I decided to take the patch off and go back to analogs. Within 1 or 2 hours the sickness went away. I've been vaping for a few months and have had nicotine on my skin and never got sick. Don't know if this helps but you can't control nic in a patch and they are more dangerous than vaping based on my experience.

When mixing I wear gloves and mix everything on a disposable plastic sheet. After mixing I wash everything down with soap and warm water and wip with paper towels and air dry. Gloves and plastic sheeting goes in garbage. I then remove my disposable gloves. A's for filling I use the carto method and don't get any juice on my hands. Also use lots of paper towels. I have now begun to fill 4 cartos at a time and then condom them to save time.
