I can't imagine it's a trend, really, but it is odd that you and at least one other person are having similar issues. I got an ePower from CCV over a month ago and have not had a single issue with it (Yay!). But the other person having a similar issue had also gotten a new switch and continued having the problem. I had asked if they switched batteries as well, but they hadn't answered.

I have four batteries and it happens with all of them, so the battery is not the problem.

I'm out of ideas. When it's on, it works great - but you have to unscrew it every time you take a drag. It gets old.

Here's my take on the e-power switch problem (I have a couple of them). I think the button on the switch gets turned one way or the other just a little bit (1/4 turn). I haven't taken one apart, but i think it is the same set up the ego bottun uses. There is a ridge on the end of the button that keeps it from falling out of the hole. This ridge is not flat but contured to the round sleeve and if the button gets turned (1/4 turn) it will push the switch on. Not sure this makes sense to any one, but me. Try turning the button just a little to see if it will release the switch (no atty/carto while you do this).

Exactly! It hits wonderfully - but then instead of enjoying my vape I'm in a mad rush to take it apart before burning out the carto (and draining the battery).

A couple of batts out of every 100 Fat Batt models will be bad. The e-powers issues are much more common. I hope they fix them or pull them off the shelves like the 18650 e-power models. For someone considering an e-power I'd suggest the classifieds here on ECF to find a good mod at a deal instead or a reliable fat bat kit.

Just an update - I did receive a new switch, and that did NOT fix the problem, so incorrect assumption on my part that it was the switch (but it seemed most logical).

New switch on, and still can't turn this baby off. Pretty let down and VERY frustrated 'cause dang near impossible for two people to vape most of the day with the Riva (3 batteries - so one on charger while other two in use but.....that doesn't work when time to switch out, lol!!)......

Really proud of the hubby 'cause he hasn't had a cig since Thursday. I do NOT want him going back to analogs, but he's an instant gratification type smoker and this is pretty frustrating.

(To top it off, I suddenly forgot how to fill a carto correctly last night as well - so we pretty much have no e-cig right now 'cause I got so frustrated I just gave up after wasting a 1/4 bottle of juice and 2 cartos. I had run out of the Smok Tech LR Dual Coils so was using these resurrectors that came with the e-power - filled one -looked perfect to me, just a little out back end, wiped it up good, blew on it gently to clear out some juice, fired that baby up and first 2 drags were great - then total burnt nasty icky. Pulled another one out and same damn thing.)

And to top it off? The ONE juice my hubby likes (one) came in and it's not right at all. Not the same color, not the same taste.

So I've got atty's that don't work at all, complete kits that don't work, juice that isn't consistent.....plus my own operator errors. All seemed great until Thursday when the E-power thing came in - I think it's jinxed and is bringing me bad luck, lol. I need to get rid of it completely!! ;-) But, seriously, I must say this is a problem to have this many "issues". Bad atty's, bad kits, inconsistent juice - appears there is little QC in the vaping vendor world and as much as a truly love when vaping is good, I'm thinking I may just end up throwing this all away. I'm weary of wasting my $$ and time.

I got my e-power and extra parts 2 weeks ago and I have no problems all my switch's work fine the batterys last all day long. I like mine maby you just got unluky with yours. In the future it would be wise to get extra parts.
With my Riva I did order back up batts, attys, etc., but with this E-power that I'd never seen I didn't realize I need to order two of every piece on them to have a full back up of all the pieces. Plus, being a brand new kit, who'd a thunk? ;-)

But yes, I do realize now that with all things vaping only 1 out 2 work so always buy two. Just not sure I can mentally be ok with having to do that. Leaves a bad taste in my mouth, no pun intended.

You almost have to be a DIYer to be a Vaper.... If you just take your finger nail and peel sideways on the little silicone button it will roll right out of the switch, be careful not to drop it, you'll never find it. Then get a sharp pair of scissors or a single edge razor and slice a little off sliver off the bottom of the button. I have four epower switches - only one has worked correctly without having to do this. On 1, the micro switch (under the silicone button) was offcenter and it was necessary to slice the material off on an angle, but it worked ok.

OMG, I'm so sorry to hear that!! Maybe pick up a couple more ego batteries. I saw a couple places that have good sales on them. I'll post the links when I find them.

On second thought, it's sometimes cheaper to just get another kit. Even at $15 for a battery, it's worth it to just get the kit for the extra charger. Can you send the e-powers back? Where did you get the juice?

I agree. I am about ready to give up on the E-Power altogether. It's just not worth the aggravation. I think I'll just order something else. It does annoy me greatly that I wasted so much money on a product that is faulty.

Sorry to hear about your problem with the E-Power. The switch problem from previous posts seemed to be isolated to the 18650 model and not the 14650 model. It could be that you just got a bad unit altogether and you should ask your supplier for a complete new one as it seems others have had good success with theirs.

I think there will be isolated problems with any model in this price range when you figure the manufacturer is only putting maybe $10 or less into the parts and assembly of these models. I agree with some of the other posts that a better built model that costs more and has a year or more warrantly will be less likely to have issues. My second PV, which was a Screwdriver, worked fine for many months but eventually developed switch problems. The all mechanical Prodigy also had arching problems. I think models like the 5 volt GLV2 with a lifetime warranty or models that have a year or more warranty probably have a lower incidence of issues. You just have to know that vaping is for you.

It's awful that you're having such a bad experience with your ePower. :( I can tell you, though, that it's now ePowers as a whole...I bought two within days of each other from two different vendors and haven't had any problem with either of them.

Really sorry about your troubles, though. Wish I had an answer for you. Maybe see if you can return it for a refund, and pick up a Silver Bullet or a RoughStack? I haven't used either, but know several folks that own them and they swear by them - especially the SB.
