I haven't been vaping for long, but in the short time I have been I've gotten to try quite a few PVs (no VV or HV yet though...), and a good deal of flavors. My first true love was the Ego, I wish I had started with it, but over time I found that the tanks were a major pain, I was scared to use LR gear for fear of hurting the battery, and dual coil wasn't too impressive on the Ego...
...So I bought myself an E-Power 14650 after much research, I had originally planned on using it around the house, and keeping the Ego for out and about because of the size difference. I had also planned on enjoying the Boge LR cartos I had around, they're great on the Ego mind you, and I bought some Smoktech stainless steel dual coil cartos to match my new toy.
I wouldn't be telling you about my original plans if those worked out lol, would I? So I get this beast after work, and I'm not even out of the parking lot before I'm putting it together and filling cartos for the drive home. Unfortunatly my test liquid was a favorite of mine, but I chose to get it at 0mg to test it with no nic which ment I remembered how much I liked TH and satisfaction my adiction while vaping.
As you could guess the 0mg wasn't really doing it for me, so I threw on the 6mg carto I had on the Ego and gave it a few toots. At first I wasn't sure there was much of a difference between the E-power and the Ego, so I threw on the Boge LR 510/306, that doesn't fit my drip tips, filled with the same juice as the others (I must love this stuff if I chose a 10ml bottle and brought along 2 cartos filled with the stuff) and was unimpressed.
Undaunted I drove home, checking out the sleek stainless steel look that I'd wanted ever since seeing it on the Ego I didn't buy, busted out another dual coil and filled it with my juice tied for first and was experiencing what I felt when first trying this juice in the sampler, it was like a new begining for me, and a really good new begining. I can't put down the new PV, so I vape and bust open the rest of the ultimate kit I'd ordered this morning, setting everything out so I can see what my money got me. I recognized everything but two huge black cylinders with soft rubber tips.
I don't know what I expected, but had no clue what they were, originally I thought they were part of the PV but now I wasn't so sure. I pulled the rubber mouth piece off to reveal the largest gathering of polyfill I'd seen in one carto ever. I had to do a double take, and I thought long and hard about what to fill this monster of a carto with...why not the favs. I fill them up, throw them on and stare in awe of the size of this thing, get over that and give it a go...the flavor was so great I went online, searched for what these cartos were even called, and ordered 3 more so I could have 5 lol.
That all aside, I'm extremely happy with the E-Power, it's not too big, sports 510 threading, replacible parts, and drop in batteries with a regulated 3.7 volt switch. This baby rocks out with LR dual coil cartos, kicks ... with the Ego dual coil carto, and just makes everything better than it's little brother, the Ego.
While I wasn't too happy with my first go with a LR carto I can say I haven't tried anything under 2ohms, which is probably for the best as the new switches I have on the way wont work with anything under 2ohms. The new buttons/switches will be replacing the hard plastic ones that came with the E-power, while the hard plastic buttons will work with LR like the 1.7 resurrector and 1.5 LR they are the Achilles heel of this great unit (or at least the version I purchased).
The hard plastic button, without the 2.0 safety, are cheaply built. The button is the same as the Ego, and in the 7 hours I'd messed with this thing it's already stuck on me once, luckily there is a timed shutoff safety or I would have lost an atty real quick. For those worried about the button there seem to be a few suppliers that offer the E-Power kit with the sylicon button, which I've heard /hope doesn't stick and has a nicer feel/press to it.
Pros:
Long battery life - 1300mAH
Regulated 3.7 voltage for an even vape
510 threading is readily available at all your favorite vaping suppliers
Modular - All parts can be replaced, so repairs are cheap enough, and you can customize how you want
Cons:
The hard plastic button - Cheaply made, sticks, and just not a good press
Size - Some people just wont like the size of this at 5 1/8 inches tall with a normal carto, or 6 5/8 with the E-power dual coil carto.
No 5V or VV - I know it's not advertised that way, but a lot of people really like that option in a mod.
