E-Power voltage issue

Decided to check voltage after almost a month of using it and feeling that it doesn't give me a 3.7 volt expirience (I have GLV 3.7v for comparison).

Measuring battery gives me 4.1 volts.
Measuring output from E-Power without a load 3.9 volts - a 0.2 volt drop.
Can't measure under the load but assuming that it will give another drop.
Both batteries produce the same result.

Question - is my button bad from the get go so I just need to buy a new button?

I have a couple of E-Powers, I assume it's a 14650 model you have. Some of the rubber button versions were regulated more on a hit or miss base. That seems like when you get 3.8 to 3.9 and then under load would read 3.2 like an e-go. The newer hard plastic switches I have one of those is regulated to 3.2 under load. The other e-powers that I have are not regulated and they would measure 4.2 if the batt measures at 4.2 and under load with a 1.5ohm dual coil about 3.45 volt.

So to answer your question your button is not bad just regulated.

Yes, I have hard button - that's explains my expirience.
Probably will try to find suppliers selling old style soft buttons version.

After a button failure with my first E-Power when they first came out, I decided to try one again. The vape was very disappointing, so onto the tester it went. With a 1.7ohm carto, the voltage under load is just above 3 volts, and that's with an IMR battery. Hooking the tester with carto directly to the battery yields around 3.8v under load, so it's definitely the switch. My switch LED also sticks on sometimes and then won't fire the atomizer until I disconnect/reconnect the batteries.

Can anyone point me in the direction of the best place to get the unregulated switch?

I purchased my E-Power 14650 about a month ago. Mine was equipped with the hard plastic blue LED button. This button stuck in the ON position once during the first week I used it but has operated flawlessly ever since. Maybe it just needed breaking-in. As far as I can tell current output from these electronics are unregulated. I must have got one of the very last blue LED E-Powers out there.

The current E-Power is equipped with a new switch. This one has a hard plastic bright white LED button and includes a safety feature that allows you to disable the power switch for carrying the PV in a pocket. That's a nice plus.

The E-Power white LED switch module is actually the fourth generation E-Power switch. Unfortunately, this latest model switch does not work well (if at all) with LR cartos unlike the previous switch models. It still works fine with higher resistance cartos.
