I've been wondering something. Do you guys think that the majority of the overall e-smoking population can be seen as the members on this forum and maybe some of the reviewers on YouTube?
In other words, I'm trying to grasp the actual size of the whole e-smoking population in most countries other than the non-English speaking ones. I wonder if there are like tons more people than we see here on the web or if it really is near as small as the number of members here. Makes you wonder how many people are into e-smoking as well and purchase from the sellers but just don't look for or find forums like these.

Also, I noticed that a lot of members here are located in the UK. I'm also curious on the overall UK to US number of e-smokers (not just on the forums).

Hmmmm....

I think it's really difficult to say. If suppliers released sales figures, we would get a better idea, but I can understand why they don't want to do that.

The forum membership is quite small, but I suspect may will just browse the forums and not register. That being said I have yet to see another e-cig out there in the street.

Yeah same story here...I have yet to meet anyone that has even heard of e-cigarettes. If anyone I know saw mine, they'd probably be like "Wtf? That's stupid!"

A-holes lol

I'm with Tropical Bob. I live & work in Pittsburgh PA, and not a day goes by (especially when I use the blue-tipped penstyle) someone stops me and says "Er..what the heck is that thing??"

Every single day. I don't know of anyone else that uses them besides the folks on here (and my sister, who was desperate to quit smoking and now has these things and loves 'em).

For the record, I've TRIED to get some of my smoking friends to try them but they say "no way, I'm not puffing on water..." or such, even when I tell 'em it's better than they think!

I heard of e-cigarettes from a non-smoking friend who had a co-worker trying to survive a campus-wide tobacco ban at a local university. I then got one, since we are likely going to get a similar ban where I work soon, and the daughter of this same friend had a friend with one, too. I imagine that, the more widespread the bans will get, the more the e-cig will spread. I find it amazing that smoking can be banned outside -especially in North Carolina, built on tobacco revenues....

Has anyone seen that Ruyan infomercial yet that is supposed to be test-airing in certain locations now? It said one location was near me in Hartford/New Haven, CT (I live close in Shelton, CT), but I haven't seen it on. Dunno if that's considered the same area for infomercial airings or not.
Anyway, that would get the word out much much more if it was on every night everywhere!

I live in a town with under 3,000 people & believe 1 other person has an e-cig. Did take my e-cigs to my daughters place of employement to show her co-workers who smoke what new smoking alternative device is available. I think they'll catch on if they can be bought locally, cheaper, hold up better (get more of the kinks worked out- suppose they've come a long way compared to the first ones produced)
