E2 ceramic carto - Bad taste

I've searched though the other threads about these cartos, but I just can't see to figure out my problem.

I just received my shipment of C-E2 510 cartomizers to day. And i keep getting a funny "burnt plastic like" taste from them.

I filled both holes with .4 ml of PG juice. I still managed to overfill the first one, did ok on the second one i tried. Anyway, I even dry-burned the second just to make sure, but both cartos keep giving me a strange plastic taste.

They are quite new to me, so can only comment on my limited experience (a few days use). They do need time to wick the liquid to coil, and so if you notice it tastes dry, sometimes just easing off and letting the wick do its job will help. I've noted a few "odd" tastes coming through when they are new but it seems to pass with time, and nothing that was really like burning plastic.

They seem to be quite sensitive to the voltage they are fed - the lower resistance versions (2.4-2.6 ohm) being better on regulated batteries (most standard e-cig batteries, and things like the eGo), but tend to burn juice when used at 3.7v, for example on a mod.
