anyone have any issues with some atties fitting on their EA?

I just tried one of my IGO L's and it won't thread down all the way, another one threads fine and the on that doesn't thread down fits a few other mods i have out right now, not sure what the deal is :( oh well not a big deal at all maybe just threads are off a little bit on the IGO L or the tolerances are slightly different

anyone who owns an EA and other mods think the EA is the most under rated readily available highest quality and hardest hit mod out there? cause the more i use it and compare to (devices below) i believe the EA is one of the best i've come across.

It certainly caught me off guard. I wasn't expecting to like it as much. It's very simple and that's what I like about it.

(1) Anyone gets the airflow control for the EA telescope? By adding that is getting pretty expensive.

(2) What SS are they using?

I got my EA through a coop, I would consider the airflow control at a similarly discounted price but I basically just use mine as a home for a ZAU, so it's not something that would help me.

As for the SS...I thought it was 316 but I may be getting that confused with something else.

Since the pin is adjustable is it an issue with the threads or are you running out of room in the tube? For some of my larger 18650's, I have to use the longer center tube to thread my atty all the way flush. Definitely if I stick a fuse in there.

IGO L?

Yea, I got a couple in the mail. Kinda wanted to get something of equal build quality to the mod to put on it... something non China. A dripper with amazing threads, function, and finish.

This thing just rocks.

Really liking it in 18350 mode with the AC9... Only issue I can find is that the AC9 WILL not sit flush. No way, no how.

My IGO-L's will sit flush easily, though.

Weird, even with the threads unscrewed and the top pin pushed all the way down it won't sit flush? The ac9 must have a super long 510 threading.

you do know a nimbus is made in China right? It's about the same quality as an IGO L, i have a few of them and have compared them, even the screws of the nimbus fit the IGO L and are plated brass. i am wanting to even say the Nimbus is just an IGO L with different cop cap and 3rd post. the posts are the exact same, and actually my nimbus were less quality (holes weren't drilled out completely) compared to the IGO L, if you won't put an IGO L on your EA cause of quality, don't look at the Nimbus.

Nimbus is from the Philippines... Heard it hits like a train ^^

Humm, well "thecatanddog" says their built in China and not built well at all. The one I saw looked and hit pretty darn good. It wasn't mine so I didn't get a chance to pull it apart and tinker with it, but from what I saw it was quality.

It's funny how people seem to equate availability with desirability. I wanted one mech device. I don't need nor want more. I wanted a nice one. The EA fit every "want" that I had. It is simple, has the brass contacts, I like the etching on it, It is able to house multiple battery configurations, it's got great reviews from reviewers, it has the pinky button I wanted and I love the name. It feels nice and looks nice and durable. The only thing I regret about buying mine was that I didn't buy it straight from the electricangel website.

I don't want to collect mech mods, I don't want to chase after the hard to get ones, I don't want to get on a list. I wanted ONE that I could keep and use and be proud of. I don't really have anything to compare it to, mech wise.. but I'm very happy with my choice. :)

the Nimbus is "from" the philippines but manufactured in China...it's essentially a pimped out IGO L. it has plated brass screws, that fit in my IGO L, the posts look to be idential (with the exception of holes). The insulators the same, the quality is the same. I can't remember where I read it, but there are a few places i've seen it come up. The nimbus is china made, no getting around that. Pics when i get some free time, but im sure someone else can chime in before i get time to posts pics, honestly im not saying the nimbus is bad, I LOVE IT andi love the IGO L, im just saying they are about the same quality. Also, same o rings, and essentially the exact same base even to the mm. like I said the main difference i see between the IGO L and Nimbus (and pretty much only) is the addition of a third post, holes in the post and a different top cap. threading in the posts, screws, o rings and "base" so to speak are identical.

View attachment 198049 Here ya go Gummy Bare. Nimbus threads down flush and I think it looks pretty good on EA in 18350 mode. I pretty much just use the Nimbus on my Shockwave because I feel the MNKE 26650 battery is better with dual coils.

Nice! Thanks, that looks killer.

Interesting, I'll have to further inspect one if the shop in my area actually gets the ones they keep telling me they are.
