I also have the rsst which matches nicely with the EA. Reguarding the hot button. Its not a short. I found in another thread it has something to do with with the connection of the bottom post. Someone recommended sanding the brass post. So thats what i did on the bottom end where the button touches the post. I lightly sanded all around. And it works! No more hot button. I suggest anyone who has gotten it more often to try this

It's almost impossible to use a did clone on the EA. No matter how careful I am... It's hard to keep from tightening the EA too much and sending that floating center pin right up into the center post of the did clone. Not a big deal.. I don't know why I keep messing with the clone when I have the real things. Well, I do know why, the little bugger vapes so good when I can keep the coil from expanding off the wick. :glare:

How does the actual DID work with it. I'm thinking of getting a DID and would like to know before I buy.

The DID works fine with it. I can tighten the EA and the center pin doesn't push up into the DID's center post. I love my DIDs.. I love that they have screw on top caps and won't come off in my purse. It's not the easiest thing to get set up. On one of mine, I took the washer from my rsst and a spring off of an ink pen and devised a spring catch like the ac9/rsst/orion. Makes it much easier to attach that top wire to the pos post. I can set mine up alright, but like I said, not the easiest.

I usually keet the rsst on the EA. It has a center post that screws down from the top and (once I filed off the sharp point) I can tighten the EA and there's no way it can push up into the rsst. The standard DID (D20) is a 20mm device while the rsst is a 22mm device and looks more streamline on the EA whereas the DID is smaller in diameter than the EA.

Hey donnah, I had the same issue you are having with your did clone insulator, but with the AGA-T2. I destroyed the silicone insulator at the bottom of it on my EA over-tightening it.

I ended up making a plastic one with a part of a spare juice nozzle (I use needle caps with my Genesis juices and had a few laying around).

I just opened the inner diameter or the nozzle up with a drill bit and sliced a piece off with a utility knife, and presto, I had a new insulator.

Good thinking! I don't own any other mech devices (yet) and I don't know if this is an issue only of the EA. I noticed that in his aga tutorials, Pbusardo did the same thing.. over tightened the EA with the Aga on it and pushed the center post up. Surevapes sells the silicon insulator for .39 and it not only works on the vulcan (did clone) but it's great to use as a bottom insulator on my drunker tank also. I bought half a dozen but will probably get more in a future order because they are so versatile.

I had spare insulators in the vape cabinet, but was thinking of trying to make some more rigid insulators out of Delrin or Kydex scraps at work. I was thinking at the time that a couple of the DID insulators would have worked great, but I had traded them along with the DID, so I improvised with what was essentially (about to be) trash and it worked well enough that I decided not to make any others.

I pushed the silicone grommet down in the 510 connection on my SS Vamo with the Terminator when I got it and had to fix that, but I haven't had any issues with my other devices. Most of the other mechanicals that I have don't have a floating center pin though.

Has anyone been following the new atomizer EA is making for the mod? It's called the "M Tank". They have out 25 for testing recently... just missed getting one by a bit.

Here's a short video:

I got lucky and saw them the day they were released... snagged one without a single hesitation. :D

They're supposed to ship this week, so when I get it and tinker with it for a while, I shall post some pictures!

This is pure win. How much was it? I just looked at the site real quick and didn't see it. That airflow control I plan on ordering I didn't know about it.

I'm still loving my EA. Made in Finland just like my mom lol.

With the shipping, it was about a hundred bucks. Not bad considering the finished tank will be about 150 euros, which is as much as the EA Mod itself. I bought the airflow control from Finnvape the other day, too... my post office must love me.

It said on the page they were going to... won't know for sure until I have it.

I think it's so you can't sell it off to someone else before they really come out.... who wants a tank with someone else's name on it you know?

But that super cool, wish I had one with my name on it.

My c-clip that holds the bottom button in slid off by itself and when I opened it I could see it laying inside the bottom, I tried to clip it back on but was at work and it sprung into the grass and I lost the clip, does anyone know where they sell that small of a clip? or even what size and the correct name to google it?

I think it's in this thread.. People are getting them from Ace hardware. Called an e-clip. I've been meaning to stop by there and pick up some just in case mine gets lost. I don't know what size they are but you can take the bottom of the EA there and try different sizes. If you find one, let us know the exact size.
