I bought an EA here in a co-op. At $135 I'm still not convinced it was a bargain.

I agree. I stopped by Vaporescence to check it out first hand and compare it to my modded Natural. I just couldn't bring myself to spend the money on it. It's a nice mod, no doubt, but it just doesn't seem $200-worthy. I'd probably spend $100-125 on it honestly. It did feel nice in the hands, and the switch was really smooth. The threads were okay, honestly not much better than my other mods...better, but not by a whole lot. They let me try it out as well. I took a hit off my Natural (brass contacts exposed, solid brass negative post) with my 0.9ohm Terminator-C and MNKE 18650 and then put the Term-C and MNKE in the EA mod, and I want to say I noticed the slightest difference with the EA mod, maybe just a tad warmer vape, but it was difficult to pin down consistently. For all intents and purposes they were the same.

Not trying to knock anyone who owns one, it was definitely a nice mod that I would love to have, but I just wouldn't spend as much as they're asking for it.

I hope your wrong my ea comes in today and I wasn't impressed with the natural.

With the resistance I use I wouldn't expect a big difference in the vape but I do expect a significantly nicer chunk of metal.

It was definitely a bigger chunk of metal, was wider than my Term-C. It's a nice mod, I just wouldn't pay full price for it, for what it is. Others will have different opinions.

It's a quality device, just not quite the difference I was expecting.

I got the EA mod today. Really nice and beautiful, as nice as I was hoping for. It matches my did perfectly. I was hoping to be able to orient it so that my wick and button were exactly where I wanted them. No matter how I screw and unscrew, they always end up at the same place, and it's not where I would prefer them. Right now the did coil is metering 1.2 with 30g. I haven't really messed with trying to use 28g and go lower.

One thing I noticed. With no load, my ohm meter reads exactly what the battery is, around 4.1 but with the did on it, it drops down to 3.6. I'm getting a really nice vape out of it. I've got a ways to go, experimenting and all. After all those 3.7 box mods a couple years ago, I never, ever thought I would go back to an unregulated device!

A 0.5 voltage drop with a DiD seems rather high. What battery are you using and how long has it been since you cleaned your DiD?

Are you measuring at the coil or in line? My K100 and AGA-T2 gets a 0.4 voltage drop (at the coil) with a 0.6 ohm coil and both are stainless steel ... no brass/gold/silver contacts what so ever.

Clean it? well... I've taken it apart and washed it in hot soapy water recently but I haven't paid much attention to the threads. I just wiped them with alcohol and dried them, do I need to apply noalox? To measure my voltage I'm using one of those inline things that madvapes sells.

Using that.. batt reads 4.15, put the did on it and now it reads 3.5

Noalox is not needed. If you're getting that kind of drop in line ... I can't imagine what the actual drop is at the coil ... yikes.

Maybe try and give your EA a hot water bath with a little soap? I don't have an EA but it seems like that's a pretty significant voltage drop for one. I'd expect FAR better results than that for a high end mechanical.

I gave everything a good cleaning.. batts and all threads, on the did and the EA. I cleaned all the contacts, everything with alcohol. I applied noalox on the threads of the EA and wiped it off. Put in a fresh batt, it metered 4.2, put the did on the volt meter and it showed 3.9

Got my tiny 18350 batts in today and it's soo cute! I would prefer there be no gap with it screwed in all the way but it is what it is. Maybe it's not a $200 device but are any of them? I did a lot of research and this is the one I choose, it has all the features I'm looking for. I looked at the Poldiac but it only came in one configuration and I wanted to be able to use all my batts.. to get it in a certain configuration and then buying all the tubes would be more than I wanted to pay. I looked at the Roller and liked it for the price but I wanted a lower pinky button. (plus it wasn't available at the time) The zen products are hybrids and I don't want a hybrid.. plus they're hard to get. The Natural was nice but I only plan to have one mech and I wanted a nicer one.

I would have been happier if I had known about the co-op and been able to get it at the co-op price but I didn't. I'm very very happy with it nonetheless :D

FYI

If anyone is looking to get this device.. I just did a little digging around and found that if I had ordered it directly from finnvape or electricangel.fi I could have saved $23! I didn't realize they dropped the VAT(whatever that is) for orders out of the UK and it comes out cheaper. Oh well

is there an EA mod sub forum on ECF? I just got one and I wanna hang out with all the other EA mod peps and get any and all info i can on the device.

This thread is as close as you will get most likely. Luckily, it's pretty damn simple, not a ton of info to be had. I was curious about a magnetic switch though.

I'm looking for the perfect dripping RBA atty for my EA mod. Something that looks really good and just barley covers the hole around the 510 post so you don't see it.

The ones I have are two small and don't cover it, I'm looking for the perfect fit.

Here's one of the ones I have now and I don't want to be able to see the indented circle around it.

My EA looks to measure 24mm which is rather fat I guess. I don't know of any drippers that are that diameter. best bet is to look for one that is 22mm in diameter. I have a did on mine right now and it looks good I think. I've been trying to orient my button to be where I want it. I try to vape with my wick facing me and I want the pinky button to be on either side.. but no matter how I unscrew and screw the different tubes, it always ends up in the same place. :glare: I can get it oriented but for it the button to be where I want it, there is a gap between the did and the EA. Oh well..

My coil is metering .9 right now.. with a fresh charged batt, the vape is quite hot, hotter than I want it. But after a few minutes, the voltage drops and it quite pleasant till the batt discharges down to 3.7 or so. When I first got mine, I had quite a significant voltage drop under load, .5 I think I said. But after cleaning the batts and then cleaning the contacts and the threads on the EA, I measured the drop to be .3 which I think if an acceptable and inevitable drop. I also applied noalox to the threads.

While I'm enjoying having a new device and I'm getting a great vape out of it. In all honesty, the vape isn't any better than what I can get out of my Provari with a 1.2ohm coil at 3.8v
