I think mine has gotten bad lately because (if it's even vape related) in the last year... I've lowered my coil resistance and use a mech, so I'm vaping at a much higher wattage than I used to. I'm going through more juice than I used to back in my carto tank days. I dunno.. but I'm lowering my nic to see if it makes a difference. Vapewise... I can't tell any difference and that's good.. my supply of nic will last twice as long now :D

I had some alarming problems with dizziness and nausea when I first started vaping. Am very nervous about further hearing loss. At doctor's recommendation, I went to 0 nic. It was unsatisfying, so I went up to 3 mg. There I will stay. By all means, if you get nic-sick, lower your nic content, so you can enjoy vaping as much as you want. I still keep some available at a higher nic concentration for anxiety attacks.

I just switched from clearos to RTA's, and agree that delivery method does make a difference. I could go a bit lower than 3 mg. But, like he said, one bottle of nic base lasts forever.

Hi 0mg. Hearing loss is my life and I am very attuned to most factors affecting it.

I don't think vaping can affect hearing in a long-term way. Alcohol can and smoking can. Vaping? - after a year I haven't noticed.

If you get persistent ringing (tinnitus) you should change something; I would suggest cutting back on the volume you vape and lowering nic.

Hey. Less IS more.

Less IS more!! Tinnitus is a way of life-- hearing aids help a lot, but most of the time I just ignore it-- can't get rid of it. I am hoping that with the minimal nic intake the loss will slow down. So far, so good. I also had a major exposure to chlorine at an indoor pool, and was drinking lots of tonic-water at the time.

If your ears only ring when you OD on nic, it's not so bad. I get headaches when I cape too high nic concentration (and the concentration definitely varies depending on which type of tank I'm using).

Tinnitus can have multiple causes: ear damage, sensitive nerves, trauma, muscle tension, high blood pressure and dehydration (is there anything that can't be blamed on dehydration?) are the ones I can remember. There is a book called "Silencing the Ringing" for those who are interested.

Well maybe collapsing was a bit of a warning bell.

On a less dramatic note I had to drive over to my new doctor an hour away across town. I hadn't been for five years and was feeling pretty smug about my health. He insisted on a blood pressure thing and wouldn't you know I was 20 point higher than I expected.

I had vaped all the way across town!

Try to convince him now that really I am healthy.

When I chain vape, I get symptoms that make me suspect that dehydration can cause blood pressure to go up.

I was hearing drinking a lot of water while vaping helps too. Has anyone else heard this or is it just a myth?

Drinking more water will help with many things, but the one important thing to know is that the vapor from your e-cig will attach itself to the first water molecules it finds, namely those in your mouth and lungs. That's the long way of saying that vaping dehydrates you and you should drink more water.

Tinnitus can come from many things, i dont know or never heard of it coming from vaping.

Funny thing seeing a nickname "0mg Meniere" here in this thread about ringing ears this topic...How Iro'nic' is that ?

I've had ringing in my ears most of my life. It really isnt noticable most of the time unless someone mentions it, then i hear it again.
Damn you op.

I enjoy a good dose of nic before bed...it helps have much more vivid dreams :)

I sometimes get tinnitus but basically I have had my sensitive cilia flattened through exposure to noise. This means I can't hear high sounds which are prevalent in speech articulation (sibilants). I am "profoundly deaf" although I can still hear a lot and enjoy music etc.

Don't worry too much about losing your hearing. There is a whole nice 'quiet" world out there.

It must have been difficult to hear the students 0mg?
Administration has been aware that it has been a problem. * One of my last assignments was PE weight room. No problem there! I hadn't been called in more than once or twice a month. Their phone system is crap. My cellphone is the only phone I use. For phone calls with any complexity I use neckloop so I can process with both ears. I recently put beads on the tubes, to make sure people would notice. Less likely to mumble or cover their mouth.

* They were gentle with me because my last contracted job was a nightmare.
