I agree with Dormouse on this. Not every person or situation demands a big battery and high hit and I think no matter what most newbies are going to go with something that at least reminds them of what they have held in their hands for the last however many years. Now that being said, I also understand that many will want to move up and that I think is the key. I would suggest (as still a relative newbie) that versatility be reccomeded along with the positives of bigger batts. The newbie like me will go with the analog type almost every time. But, if they are directed to models that are upgradeable like 510s and now KR8's somewhat, they will be far ahead of the game when or if they switch. I for one have just found a comfort level with the idea of bigger batts, and am glad I have found some options such as the iGo (put in a order over the weekend), that will allow me to still use much of the equipment I have.
As a side note, there is simply NO way I could pull out a mod type device where I work, it would simply do more damage to vaping than it's worth. Ignorance and overreaction would have vaping added to the smoking ban so fast it would cause whiplash and I will not be responsible for that. It's unfortunate, but it's about perception and it's different everywhere.
That being said, yes I am a newb going bigger, but I am not going to give up my KR8 gear. Versatility is key. There is a time and place for everything. Kum by ya.
