Easy OKR-T VV mod

i'm just wondering if it is possible to put the momentary switch on the Vout side of OKR-T/10? Would there be a significant drain on the batteries and stress on the OKR?

It`s possible. In stand buy that module drawn continuous 10-20 mA, lowest current anyway.

yep. without Rout output current is minimum, around 10 mA.

why you don`t use the power switch to Vin at OKR-T module?


modification: use a double contact switch for Vin and Vout

you can use that 2 series charger as a pass-trough, same you don`t need extra barrel connector.
for example when charge batt and vape at the same time, atty will drain maximum current from charger (500 mah 600 mah), and rest from batt.

I forgot to mention that my schematic is intended for multiple usage so that vapers can vape simultaneously.

My goal:

a battery box that can accomodate 3-4 vapers simultaneously with different supply voltages via passthru.
a charging port
use switching regulator that can handle more amps like OKR-T/10 and a 5v regulator
2 x 26650 4000maH INR battery

yeah I thought of that but I would like it to be portable as possible and where I'm from frequent blackouts and brownouts is total hassle.

I messed up my box and said the heck with it. Drilled out the switch hole and put a big honking switch in and two parallel 18650's. It makes a very powerful 3.7 box now.

Back to the drawing board.

Can I put a 10uf 25v capasitor instead of 10uf 16v capasitor like in the diagram? or can i just skip the capasitor and does it makes a huge different in this mod performance?

It doesn't make a huge difference but may save wear and tear on the battery.

The rule of thumb is that the higher the voltage rating the better as long as the capacitance is correct. Just wan't to make sure it is at least rated for the voltage you will be running through it.

Not messed up at all in my book, looks like a good mod or start to one . If you chose to work on it more, it looks like you can make it 5v or TI boosted.

I have follow the diagram just like in this thread by putting a 10k pulldown resistor at pin 3 & pin 1. pin 2 to atty switch and pin 1 to atty switch. the controller did not work and it fire when i on the main switch. how is the right way to use the pin 1 controller?

I finally finish my first VV OKR mod with voltage meter. I didn't expect volume is so sensitive small notch will gives great voltage change, kind a hard to find sweet spot. Other than that, I love this mod. Thanks again!!

If you want a finer grain adjust you will need to use one of those multi turn POT's. Those work well if you don't adjust much as you can really dial it into to your sweet spot. However, if your like me and always need to fiddle with it the large easier to turn pot is more convenient.
