Just wanted to see if any of you guys heard this as well. One of my primary vape gear sellers on ebay just PM'd me and explained that they all got sent this no policy email telling them any 'tobacco related' products need to be removed immediately, and that they are starting with searching for Ego products and pulling these listings first.

This is crazy being these types of products don't have to be involved with nicotine at all. It really shouldn't even be labeled as a smoking cessation device, or even tobacco device, because its really not. This type of gear just needs to be completely recatagorized. I don't get all the crazyness.

Concur, I've known about this policy since I started vaping. It's one of the reasons I don't use Ebay and only use Paypal when I have to.

Don't hold your breath waiting for a reclassification or TOS amendment any time soon - they've basically had an anti-vaping stance for years and only now seem to now be enforcing it.

I don't get what the huge push to enforce this now is. My seller told me they received listing removals with these policy documents just this week. I know they have had the policy on anything with nic in it, but something that could be used with 0mg nic should NOT be pulled or restricted. I don't know what their angle is on this.

Listings either had :
A) Inappropriate Discriptions
B) Some Buyer/other merchant - lodged a complaint due to any number of reasons.

You do not have to have good reason to file a complaint. You simply have to know what reasons to list in the complaint. EBAY Policies stink.
I stopped selling due to the ignorance of the system.

I always thought it was against policy to sell anything vape related as well as using paypal as a means for paying for vape related stuff. Back in the day you could not find any vape related stuff for sale on Ebay and no vendor was allowed to use paypal either. For those that were vaping back in 2009 can remember having their credit cards stolen because a lot of vendors were using sub standard payment methods. That was part of the reason I stopped vaping in 2010. Now I notice that a lot of vendors are using paypal. I'm not sure if paypal will catch up to them and tell them to stop using the service though.

'Could be used' isn't good enough apparently , they need certainty and thats not possible.

People seem to miss the point that Ebay is based on a Buying concept. The only thing that matters is a satisfied customer. Anything that tips that boat can come under scrutiny, anything.
Ebay is also a company not a democratic body. They can and often will do as they please.

The occasional hand slap is inevitable and done to show Buyer concern. No, Ebay has no intention of fully inforcing their own rules. That would be BAD for the vast majority of Buyers, however as they have Rules, they must keep up the appearance of caring about enforcement.

Still a ton of listings there...might this have had anything to do with selling "[edited]" and the like?

Seems aspire and kanger are still in the 9000+ listings category over 900 for "ego battery"

I think your on to something there , if the DEA is involved somethings up , they freak out about everything, what a bunch of pita 's, these are the ones that insist [edited] is the deadliest drug in the history of mankind and have it listed as a schedule one drug , complete joke.

Don't even know why this thread is still running wild.

EBAY will not remove all Vape related offers. It is cost prohibitive to them. $ale$ = Profit$

They simply smack a vender or two around once in a while after receiving a Complaint. The complaint does not even have to be just and does not have to be about a Vape related item or a Vape supply seller.
It simply has to be a complaint about ANYONE selling ANYTHING for them to give a Dealer a hard time - An individual dealer/seller, not the whole category.

Go - Look - SEE ...............Tons of stuff still selling:facepalm:

I don't want to call the Op's seller a crook. they likely are very respectable, but someone felt different and lodged a complaint.
