Anyone can read the posts here on ECF. The minimum posts requirement is set in place to avoid spam and other crap.
Its not hard to make a few posts, lol

Live chat is IRC , a text based chat. Ventrillo is a Voice application

Use both the forum and the chat - you will benefit greatly, trust me.
the key to chat is popping in and saying hi, and sticking around for a few minutes...someone is there just about every minute of every day ... enjoy!
