Wondering the same thing here. I was able to connect just fine and then suddenly it's invite only. Thought maybe I needed to be logged in here or something, but apparently not.
That also happened to me last night, but I am assuming it might have been temporarily down for a little bit, as when I tried later, it worked same as usual.
new to this and very curious to learn more -- learned a lot already!

Ok.....so I am getting a little frustrated. I don't just want to sit on the three threads that are available to post for newcomers and just keep posting, but that looks like all that is available. I am fine with my user name, so that one's out, and I don't care about live chat, so that's out. It says 5 posts are necessary to post in "other forums," but I'm already past five and I can't seem to post anywhere. I have 8 inane posts, and I guess if I can just figure out 7 more, I will get recognized by the system or something? Anyone have any advice here? Ay.

It takes an hour or so for the forum to update your post #s. Be patient your getting there

How long did you wait after posting that five to try to post elsewhere? IF memory serves I only had five posts when I was able to post in other forums. But like MadValley stated above, it takes time for the forum to update.

A potential expensive lesson in dollars and time one may want to refrain from doing in the future... the long term side effects could drive ya' broke let alone leave ya' chasing a shadow.
On a brighter note... the purchase could have been a Pipe Organ... or a Tyrex Dump Truck

Not sure why ppl are saying that you cant get into chat,without an invite, i started there fierst, and i do not have 5 posts yet. Lots of helpful ppl on there, very nice informative place, to hang out an learn stuff!
Because one night that is what it was doing. It has since been fixed, as it seemed a temporary issue.
When will I be able to post in other forums than the new members one? There are lots of interesting threads but I am not currently allowed to reply to them.
