... and we break stuff and buy gear like everyone else
My recent "REO experience" was a bit of a downer but had a happy ending. While putzing around with a rba I shorted out and melted the spring on my REO grand. No big deal, as a true believer in spares, spares and more spares I have another REO plus some extra springs. WTH 3 should be a lifetime supply, right? Wrong. Shortly thereafter I managed to melt the rest of my spare springs on regular atty's and boge cartos. What a run of bad luck...
So, having a "spare" REO i log on and order some more springs and some other bits and bobs and they arrive within 4days (first class mail). Good deal! so I replace the spring and... nothing. Upon closer investigation I found I had melted the plastic button and it had deformed so badly that the firing pin wasn't being depressed enough to make contact with the battery positive terminal. Oh Crap. Time to shoot Rob an email. This is Thursday night. A quick email chat with Rob and a paypal payment on Friday morning nets a REO Repair Kit on my doorstep with Monday's mail. 10 minutes later the REO is reconditioned and steaming away as good as new and I even got another spare spring out of the deal.
The quick shipping, clear instructions (and video you emailed me as well) and completeness of the rebuild kit made it a relatively painless process to resuscitate my dead REO.
So the TLDR version of the story is this, we all know Rob has phenomenal CS and the REO is a superbly built PV. I just thought I'd like to say "Thanks Rob, your quick and friendly service made my REO experience go from a bad day to another very satisfied customer."
