Personally I think Reo has been unfairly attacked by some cyber nuts out there trying to run a half ohm on these things with dual coil and unfairly bash them for hick-upping a half a volt under those conditions. One video on youtube was done this way and I wanted to reach through my monitor and SLAP that fruitloops up the side of the head for not knowing that the gadget he was measuring the voltage with was the cause of the drop DUhhhhhhh!!!!
Yes, I too came across one video which most of you know, claiming a 1V drop on a 0.5 ohm coil. He now bashes the REO as not able to handle sub-ohm and hates on it while trying to look innocent and "fair". The guy doesn't have a clue, probably didn't even make sure the REO had everything set up to get top performance. People like him shouldn't ever do technical reviews. If you do a technical review of a mod, it means you've used it enough to understand it, and to have tried and experimented with it enough to familiarize yourself with the ins and out of it.

Someone who gets a mod, pops a battery in, fires it and proceeds to do a review of it should never be taken seriously. That kind of video has its own classification, it's a first impression video, far from technical.

Cowboy, a proper welcome to REOvil is in order and comin at ya bro :). Welcome :) and a big old eHigh Five too.

Glad you finally found us. I think you are gonna fit in just fine up in here :)

My bad too. I get a little jumpy when I perceive (and often misperceive) anyone poking at the dude, the mod or the REOvillians that ride shotgun with me as I do cyber donuts in Phillip Morris' parking lot and give them the finger.

Your happen to be the dude scrunched up against the window in the back seat (is that Kay sitting on your lap?) doing the same at the moment. Glad to have you onboard :)

Now please pass me another molson and stop telling me to turn the stereo down bro :)

Shh, I ran with a 0.3 ohm coil for 2 days, vaping it off a fresh battery at 38-40 watts. That reminded me of a guy that frequents my local B&M but has broken so far 4 eGo batteries and burnt 3 tanks in less than a month. I ask the owner what the hell is this guy doing to them. Turns out every drag he takes, it lasts until the eGo hits its shut off timer. He kept saying how nothing can satisfy him (he was a 3 PAD smoker) and nothing is giving him the hit he's looking for (no, not exactly TH, but a hit that makes him cough his lungs out) And there I walk in with my 40 watt vaping beast, he asks if he can take a drag off it. I squonk hard as hell bc that guy will dry that cotton in no time, and give it to him on a pretty fresh battery. Mind you, it was 0 nic juice. Just after 1 second of taking the lung hit, his eyes popped wide open but he kept at it for 5 damn seconds. Result? Proceed to cough like you've never coughed in your life. What hit me was, the guy liked it! "Man that's the hit I'm talking about!" Not only that, very little vapor on the exhale, so he nearly stealth vaped 5 seconds of 38 watts 50/50 PG/VG.

Yeah I ditched that coil because it was too hot and flavor was a bit muted. 0.5 ohms is my average sweet spot and if I want a warmer vape I set it up as a dual micro coil with some 26g kanthal. I take short drags though, no nic juice so no nic buzz/TH and nearly no inhaling, I'm a big fan of nose hits for most flavors and with the volume of vapor at that resistance flavors to me get as lively as they can get.

If it floats your boat jcalis1394 GO IT!!! The important thing is your willing pioneer spirit remains free..
I notice the term 1394 in your name, which I think is a riot, it stands for "Fire-Wire" in the computer world.
Sometime I yell "Fire in the hole" before the infamous BANG!!! on my hobby bench.
Now if I could just retro-fit this 110 plug to work in my stoves 220 socket I can charge by 18650's in half the time

Not only might you be able to charge them in half the time, you might get enough fire to roast yourself a pig.

I'm a sub ohm guy but at my range I'm always looking for safety so that I can vape that beast knowing if something goes wrong there's a safety measure in place.

You learn something new every day. So 1394 stands for "Fire-Wire" uh, pretty fitting  Totally didn't mean it like that though, it's just my birthday :D You just gave me an idea for a banner. Brb!

I wish we had vape shops in Seattle. Just all by my lonesome out here.

Don't feel bad pdib, I live one house away from being "Off-The-Grid" [which explanes my personality dysfunctions] and My weekend visits to my girlfriend 2 hours away puts me near a brick and mortar, but like most of them, they are not selling what you want to buy for hardware. The Juice is nice but expensive, so in essence the ego-c twists and maybe one Lava-tube type MOD are available, but ask for a bottom fed dripper and they are stumped. There equipment stock is middle of the road Mamby Pamby stuff. The juice price gouging is ridiculous. Now that doesn't speak for all of them. Just the ones around upper middle Tennessee area across the boarder of Kentucky where the men are men the women are women and the sheep are nervous.:2c:

Never lose your backbone when it comes to sticking up for your friends, it's a rare trait these days and admirable too.

Lots of vape shops here in the DFW area. Most suck but there are a few with people that know some s#!t. A new shop opened about a mile from my house and they sell some good juice at 39ml for the same price that everyone else sells 30ml. And they have some decent hardware too....just nothing I'm interested cause I already have the best.;)

As a fellow volunteer, I thought the saying was "where the men are men, the women are men and the sheep are scared."

There aren't any down there??? I figured there would be several by now. We've got a decent shop up here with a decent lounge area. They focus on the masses, but still carry batteries and stuff for those of us who don't use the mass marketed products. We get the majority of our DIY supplies there though. If you're ever in the area, let me know....we would be glad to meet ya there. We have a handful of Reo users up here.

If you got some time to waste you might wanna drop in at the Smoky Mountain Vapers vape meet in Knoxville. They have one every other month, the next one being October 27, a Sunday. They also list other vape meets and I see there is one in Nashville, too. The REO crowd is growing at the Knoxville meet. :)

Oh, and welcome to REOville, the place with the best vapes :)

Thanks Rhaps! Yeah, I don't know the details, but I think King County has some kin'a anti-vape-shop ordinance. There are a few smoke shops with a tiny little section (like between Steve Martin's erasers and lollipops?). But the owners don't even know what they are selling and it's crap.
That's just makes me crazy....smoke shops are okay, but those nasty ecig people and their safer nic game....boy, you gotta keep your eye on them and keep em outta your neighborhoods. :glare: Maybe the county council all smoke and they feel threatened.

What you say is true, and an interesting illustration of the phenomenon of e-cigarettes: something that will save millions of lives, but has produced a violent reaction from the commercial interests who will lose out.

Something very simple, that is being made out to be complex or dangerous.

Potentially the biggest boost to public health since the invention of antibiotics, but being desperately resisted by people who will lose fortunes as a result. 500 million lives that could be saved, but billions of dollars lost as a result. Just the way it is. Life or money.

There will always be people prepared to kill thousands in order to pay their mortgage, and ECF [and Reosmods] is an easy target.

I think one problem is the whole "wholier than thou" sentiment many will have too, a lot of people think well if you don't want to be fat just don't eat so much, and instead of whining about nicotine stuff and complaining about taxes you should just quit. you are blamed for your weaknesses and they don't feel bad for you, it's your own fault for being too weak and being addicted in the first place... there sentiments can be e cigs don't save lives it just substitutes one addiction for another, you really want to save lives then just quit.

e-cigs were determined to be same as analog by our beloved Elders, quite a long time ago. Not to be used anywhere that cigs are not allowed (which is everywhere). The stated reasoning behind ordinance was that "they look too much like real cigarettes" (I paraphrase).

?

Ya, I think I read that too. The county council needs to go back to college and take Critical Thinking 101. Their basis for keeping the industry at bay in their area severely lacks logic. But hey, they don't need the extra tax revenue, right?
