For several years now it has been illegal to use a cell phone in the engine of a moving train. A federal law. Fair enough bad bad to use them when you are focused on something else. Bad wreck no agrument here. Now they must be stowed out of site in a suit case or bag. Again fair enough. Yesterday I was told that the rule applied to ecigs and considered them an electronic device same as a tablet, cell phone, or computer. I figure the jig is up. Now the whole world will know we send messages, play games, and watch u tube on our E-Cigs. Lets see ,,, get scolded for smoking on a train,,,, Lose your job for using a e-cig.

Since in the UK it is illegal to smoke indoors in work places and public places, they have been banned on the trains for many years, according to the drivers manual, it takes your mind from what you are doing (I only know as DH is a train driver).
When I started vaping I found out that one of the drivers at another depot vapes but he too wasn't allowed to vape at the controls, they also forbid the use of nic inhalers stating it requires hand use, they do however allow patches but not gum (chewing gum by an employee is frowned upon as it is seen as a dirty habit my anyone who is seen by the public), Strange though as all staff are provided with thermal coffee cups and water bottles to stay hydrated while they work.
