Just had to share because I am so very thrilled!!! :w00t:

Two weeks ago, I got my mom an innokin starter kit (from MBV, iclear16 I think) and 5 bottles of juice to try, and today she told me she's had about 4 cigarettes all WEEK! :D She was down to 4 cigarettes/ day the very first day I gave it to her! My mom's been smoking for longer than I've been alive (1-2 PAD) and has tried quitting through NRT and cold turkey more times than I can count, with no success. Nothing appreciably reduced her desire to smoke a cigarette, but with her "puffer" as she calls it, cigarettes have actually started tasting BAD and she doesn't want to have one... she'd rather vape! :vapor:

I can't wait until she gets down to zero cigs per week, but every one she doesn't smoke is fantastic to me. She took her "puffer" to her last doctor's appointment (mom has several health issues, including COPD, and sees doctors frequently), and her NP was absolutely gushing over how much she'd reduced her smoking so quickly and was really interested in the vape itself.

My MIL is also thinking about ordering setups for her and SIL to try this week (both 1 PAD smokers), and I am super excited about that too! YAY for vaping!!!

Northern NJ native , Coastal NC now.
You can get an MVP kit for under $40.00 now and it includes everything you need except juice or you can get a VV3 express kit for $25.00 . The MVP is a real game changer (how can over 700+ FIVE star reviews be wrong ) and after i got it i never smoked another cig.

101vape will have it at your door in three days or less with standard shipping (do not go with any other shipping method).

AWESOME!

There aren't many ways an individual can assist in extending/saving another person's life; ergo, the patience and passion within these forums. V-verting a smoker or aiding a vaper is pri¢ele$$!

Ya did great!

good work. it can be very hard to get someone older to do well when starting out. i bet she loves doing things with her hands. before you know it she'll show up with an inokin 134 with a swivel drip tip.
;)

Ha! She was afraid to fill the tanks herself at first... wouldn't do it and waited for me to come over so I could do it for her. I think dripping/ RBAs/ etc are a long way off, if ever does get into that stuff.

Fantastic Walter, that's the best feeling isn't it? :)

My mom has begun vaping also at 70+ years old!

It really is! Wow-- good luck to your mom! :) Mine is only 48, but she was pretty intimidated by all the parts and pieces at first...

Thanks for the tips. :) She seems pretty happy with the gear she's got right now (cost me $39.99 + 10% discount), but it never hurts to have other stuff in mind if she wants to switch.

Thank you! :D I was so nervous that this would end up like all the other things she's tried, or she'd get frustrated with it and give up, but it really seems to be going well. Heh, helps that it's a lot cheaper than cigs too. Her husband is even giving it a shot, and I didn't think he'd be interested at all.

Great story! I love these kinds of posts! :D

That is exactly what I was going to say.

Congratulations to you and your family! It feels so good to see those you love put down the stinkies, and so easily I might add. I've done the same with my wife and sister, and I'm so proud of them.

Vape on! :vapor:

Hey quick high jack of thread but your from Murfreesboro have you checked out vape crazy if so what did you think?
Oh yes... I went to their summer event a few weeks ago. Saw my first cloud chasing competition there. Matt, Chris and Glen were present and accounted for at Vaperoo. Their booth seemed pretty busy most of the time. The chap I spoke of that bought the Fogger V4 was going to buy it from them, but they'd sold the last one yesterday at the store and it was out of stock. All the folks at Vape Crazy have been most helpful with my transition to RBAs. That's my go-to place when I need to get out of the house, away from the missus, have an enjoyable vape and just chill.
