OK, so I've had my Rose 3 for a while now. I've been running my normal build in it, which is .4mm NiFe48 with a TCR of 405, 9 wraps spaced 2mm coil, at 230 degrees at 22W on my Dicodes. The flavour is much more pronounced that any of the 17 atties I possess, and so I'm so very much impressed. It's lovely used as DL, but slighty less so as MTL.

There are some mildy annoying aspects of it though. I've seen what happens to a Rose 3 when the mod it is attached to accidentally gets dropped. It wasnt a big drop, but it landed on it's drip tip. The chimney section was pushed down a few threads and ended up cross-threaded and jammed. Turning it only forced the wick collar section it was threaded onto to spin, because although the collar secrtion is supposedly locked by the bottom section being screwed tight, it will actually move if you apply enough force (i.e the force required to unscrew a cross-threaded section). You can't lift that collar section out, it has to be removed downwards, but the chimney section won't move down, it can only be removed upwards. Hence, you have an unrecoverable situation. Don't drop your Rose 3, it's not likely to be a good outcome.

The AFC is too loose for me. The AFC loves to move downwards when the thing is apart for cleaning, and the wire drops out. Luckily I found the wire.

If the top fill section is screwed down too hard, it's all too easy to accidentally unscrew the tank. It would probably be better knurled, even though I'm not fond of knurling because it ruins the aesthetics.

It's sometimes really difficult to unscrew the sections for cleaning. You probably need vape grips.

The plastic used in the tank section is of a type that is extremely succeptable to tank crackers. Don't think you will get away with it.

When you unscrew the Rose 3 from a device where the mod is wider than the Rose, you find that the bottom section is very slippy, it's so smooth. I would have preferred knurling here. Because the bottom section is so narrow, you inevitably end up merely turning the AFC. If you unscrew the Rose 3 from higher up, and the atty is attached very tightly to the mod, you end up just unscrewing the tank section.

On a more positive note, the 510 connection is of a type that is wonderful for TC. It will never move. I have atties like the Squape and the Taifuns that are absolutely useless for TC, because the adjustable 510 moves every time you unscrew and reattach the atty, which means that the base cold resistance changes on refill. Another reason why I love the top fill on the Rose 3.

So to summarise, the Rose 3 is a fabulous atomiser, but you have to be SO careful with it. But despite everything, it is becoming my favourite atty!

I agree with you on all counts. I've told Eden mods on their FB group about making the top cap have more grip. I'm more for functionality rather than looks, and adding something to the top wouldn't ruin the mod. Similar to those on the AFC, they'd compliment the whole Rose look.

I've also found if you screw your LC tight it can slightly move the "wick cup". You'd have to apply some force to the LC, in case you are screwing it down faster . Something to be careful about.

If an atty has some small flaws, but works great and is a great flavor chaser, these small flaws can be overlooked. It doesn't leak, doesn't drool, LC works with all of my drip tips, it's fairly easy to remove the tank section to change wicks.

I'm just hoping they'd take community's input on some things and improve upon them and make replacement parts, let's say for the top cap, or a new tank design, where you'd have a SS tank all made from one piece. What I'd really love to see is a ULTEM tank section.

And the most horrid thing on the Rose 3 is the drip tip which just doesn't do it justice. It looks like they've made a clean cut on a teflon rod, drilled it and put a O ring on it. I'm using the teflon GP drip tip on it or a ULTEM one from Pico.

hopefully the AFC will be more stiffer and won't turn so easy.

I'm looking forward to the replacement as well. I thought I was fine with the AFC when I first started using the Rose 3, but after a couple weeks of use, it has started to get on my nerves a bit. I'm constantly bumping it out of place accidentally and when removing it from my pocket.

Even with the AFC issues though, it is still by far my favorite RTA and I have no regrets on picking it up. I hope getting a hold of the replacement wire stateside won't be too much of a hassle, or expense.

This only happened to me a couple times when I first got the Rose 3. Making sure the bottom cap was screwed in tight has kept it from happening again. Since correcting the tightness on the bottom cap, I've accidentally screwed in the chimney so tight I had to put on the default drip tip back in to loosen it up. Wick channels still stayed put.

Generally a pretty good summary of the minor annoyances. For me by far the most annoying one is the last one, it isn't so much when it is screwed into the mod that I have issues with it, it is more that it is a nightmare at times to unscrew the metal ring that threads that tank to the base from the base without either the airflow just spinning or the base section coming apart. Most of the other things are not exactly perfect but don't bother me that much, quite a lot of that probably comes down to how good the vape is, I wouldn't have left the house without a RDA till I got this thing and any annoyance is far less than dealing with a RDA outside in bad weather.

As @RabbiXX says the JC issue is because the bottom cap is not on tightly enough, either that or you are missing the o-ring (which i doubt). It would be pretty nice if there were internal notches or something to lock it into place without having to worry about it being super tight.

Rose 3 compared to the Flash e-vapore one ?

I've never even heard of this RTA, although I'm guessing it is not distributed in the states. While they say that "beauty is in the eye of the beholder", I personally find that RTA so unattractive, that I don't think I could ever convince myself to spend $200+ to import it.

Well all reviews about the FeV says it's a flavor chaser atty and if you remove the screw used in the AFC hole, you can reach 3mm so it's not that tight.
This brand is a small one from Germany but European forum are very enthusiastic about this one.
However I'm guessing you did try both of them and if you say that Rose 3 has more flavor then I have to buy it :)

It's a flavor chaser in opposition of being a cloud chaser. Maybe I was not clear. FeV has good flavors, but compared to hurricane, Kayfun, etc... and of course Rose 3, we're not playing in the same league. Well, of course that's personal opinion.
Also, FeV feels tighter and hits more not only due to airholes (1 and only 3mm is not that big), but its design, the way it's build, put it, for me, in another vape style. And FeV has others good points, like easy to build, unbreakable, big to huge tank, etc...
I love both, but for flavors I would always vote for Rose 3.

One minor annoyance for me is that it seems like condensation (or mild leaking) builds up around the AFC ring, and if you touch the AFC ring you get juice on your fingers. Or worse for me, set it on its side, and all this juice thats accumulated around the ring seeps out of the seams, since its not an airtight ring (due to the spring wire mechanism instead of an O-Ring).

Its not like juice comes pouring out of the holes. Its just juice seeping from the cracks between the AFC ring. Seems like every time I grab it to unscrew the base, my hands have juice all over them. Anyone else experiencing this? If I make my wicking any tighter/packed-in, coil saturation gets worse and the vape is not as spectacular.

I haven't had this experience at all. The only time I have had a leaking issue and everything was tightened down and assembled correctly was when I wicked it with Rayon. This is probably more due to my inexperience with using Rayon with this style of tank which is quite a bit different than the typical juice well type wicking style.

There definitely is a small amount of condensation that has formed when I disassemble, but it has not leaked out on me. I've gotten a bit of juice on my hands rebuilding every atomizer I've owned to be honest, but nothing has stood out to me about the Rose 3 where I thought this was excessive.

I do close juice flow control before I stick the mod in my pocket, but I do with every RTA that has this feature. As far as it leaking when it is laid on its side, I haven't really tested that but that honestly doesn't surprise me if juice flow control was left open. It certainly has never leaked in my pocket while I have sat for hours in the same place and my mod and the Rose 3 are pretty much horizontal in that position.

I know I'm going to get crucified for saying this but I picked up the sxk clone to see if I like it as I really can't afford to pull the trigger on an almost $200 RTA without knowing whether I like it or not. If its all its hyped to be and it will last me a couple years I can justify eating ramen for a month or 2 in order to pick one up

Nor have I experienced any seepage or leaking from any joint or hole with my Rose3. I've been using Rayon stuffed pretty tight inside the coil, as is my understanding how Rayon should be used.

I'm going into week 3 of using my Rose3 and this atty is incredible. The build and maintenance has been trouble free. I like [most of] the tolerances and I haven't found myself unscrewing unintended pieces. I haven't had a single leak and the draw is incredibly smooth with no whistles, spitting, or gurgles. With a RLH the flavor is dense and defined and (here's the thing I REALLY love) the flavor lasts for days and days and days between re-wicking. My first build I left in for 5 days and 30ML before deciding to clean the coil (1.2ohm 26ga Kanthal with Duchess Reserve) though the tipping point seems to be about 20ML.

Things I don't like about it: The top fill is only mess-free with a syringe or very sharp unicorn tip. Most of my juice bottles leave at least 1 drop of liquid that gets pushed out when re-attaching the top cap that then needs to be wiped up. I also find that the AFC is too loose. With the atty in a Xvostick the AFC will sometimes move when I go to pick it up (I know for sure that I haven't touched it). The AFC does tend to slide up/down when the base plate isn't attached and I'm 90% sure I'm going to lose that spring wire down the drain one day. Also - I was expecting that the AFC would fit snugly enough to the base that in the closed position there would be no airflow.

All in all the Rose 3 is a winner of a flavor atty. It'll proudly join it's UK brethren (Evl Reaper and UTA2) in my regular rotation.

So this is bizarre. I did a full disassemble of the Rose 3 last night. After reassembling (and putting the spring wire back in place), the AFC is now noticeably tighter. Like 2-3x tighter, and it's great. I have no explanation for how this happened. Maybe I accidentally bent the spring-wire just a tad?

I'm too terrified to take it back out and look at it, because what if it goes back to it's usual loosey-goosey self :) So, yeah not much help for how to duplicate this. Sorry.

It does make me wonder what happened between testing and production though. I know Lee from Eden Mods and testers said the AFC had more resistance pre-production, and were surprised the production models were loose.

I seen him mention this as well in a couple of different conversations within the FB group. He said in one discussion that the pre-production ones for testing were tighter but were also non-removable for cleaning and that people liked their products being fully dismantle-able for cleaning and repair so they had made the choice to alter the design slightly. He said in another discussion that the pre-production ones of the final version that he and andy were using had more tension, that something had went slightly wrong when scaled up and they hadn't realised some of the large production runs were as slack as they are. To be honest I still don't have a problem with mine, it moves easily but doesn't seem to move in my pocket, I am however afraid of losing that [insert your curse word of choice] tiny bit of wire.

This really makes me wonder if your AFC tightness is now what I have achieved, because I would kind of describe it the same way now. It does move easily, but doesn't move in my pocket anymore. Before, I could barely touch it with my finger and it would move. Now I actually have to apply just a bit of pressure with my finger before it budges (before it felt like no pressure was needed). I'm totally fine with AFC now.

I have pretty much overcome just about every negative thing I have had with the atomizer. Damn thing just keeps getting better for me.

My preferred build these days in the Rose 3 is:
-2x26awg Twisted Ti
-5 spaced wraps
-3.0ID
- ~0.16ohms

Set at 235C @25watts in Temp Control mode.
