I understand that, my post wasn't directed at you hense why I didn't quote you. :)

This whole thing is extremely confusing, and it is going to throw people off. If they were available for preorder, we would have heard by now. Steve did mention that a new type of cartomizer is in the works, but didn't give an ETA.

It says these cartomizers will be available in August though.

Actually the battery with the LED near the button is what I understood to be available in August. The temprally unavailble E2cartomizers could be available next week for all I know. No?

Well as Steve just mentioned these things take time, so I'm willing to bet you a pack of cartomizers they won't be available next week.:toast: No?

Oh v1John, how I enjoy your ridiculously pointless rude attitude!

vape happy, my friend.

Lunar Eclipse as seen over Seattle in Aug 2008. None of the photos came out accurate but this was the best of the funky! Thank you for asking!:)

I also was curious....since it looked like a sperm, to me, and sure got my mind wondering why someone would choose such an image. :D

I gather it is the eclipse with a camera blur trail.

This is my take on a few items.

1) These would obviously be RS808D - not KR808D. This would not be the first time a vendor went with something other than the Kangor original models.

KR808D has become a default term for 808D style cartomizers. That has become even more important now that 510 vendors are on the cartomizer and cart bandwagon. There are actually 808D-2 and 808D-3 models as well but you don't hear much about them either. (We can still call them "crate")

2) It has been stated here in the past, (by Leaford) that the factory uses syringes to fill the cartos. That doesn't mean it's necessary for you to use any kind of needle. It's a personal preference. HOWEVER, it does appear that RS is attempting to devise a system for those who prefer to do it that way that would be standardized and less potentially dangerous. That's a good thing.

Misc.
A vendor, several months ago, had come out with a 510 battery with a flared ash-cap on the end so it would be easier to see the LED in the case it was flashing. I had reservations about that flair because it would be harder for the battery to roll it a straight line but easier for it to go round-n-round in a never ending pivot point. I think the position of that LED is classy and nearly perfect.

It provides a distinctive appearance and allows people to see ever more easily that it is NOT a cigarette that you are smoking/vaping.

The entire setup looks like genius from where I sit.

Well I don't know about devising a "system".... I do know that when I do filling or any thing with a syringe.. I dont use the needle I use the plastic "cathetere" sheave that goes over the needle.... (the actual name slips my mind)

but if you ever had blood drawn or an IV these things are sometimes used.. you stick the needle and sheave in and when the needle is pulled out the sheave is still there for the nurse to hook up a tube to...

My point is there isn't anything to devise really and no need to use a metal needle.. for anything that you are not trying to Jab/puncture..

So NOONE has to worry about this or that....

Steve, thank you for replying!! These new cartomizers look very interesting! I'm excited for you to get them so will be watching for news of their release.

Happy Vaping!!

We are still doing fine tuning on these cartomizers, plus we need to perfect a plastic refilling method. I hate metal syringes, as I have poked myself, many times, in the past. As for the new battery's, with Led's at the top, this was taken from our VK1 prototypes.

We will have many exciting products coming in months ahead. Just does not happen fast, when we need to make sure all works proper.

Thank You FAM:toast:

LGD,

I agree with what you said but/and may not have been as clear as I might have been on the standardize part.

As far as I know, (and I certainly could be way off base), I have not seen a manufacturer offer such an accessory for E-Cigs. I venture that the vast majority of people using a syringe are also using a needle. There are even discussions about what gauge needle works best.

The fact that a component manufacturer would be offering a solution in the for of an accesory in conjunction with the other items I think is a big enough deal to call a "system".

Even most of the DIY shops, (vendors), are offering standard syringes with needles, or even without any insertion method other than the plastic tip it comes with.

@leesher... yeah I get your point.. I didn't think about that.. I guess what is readily available to an individual (me :p) doesn't necessarily mean it's readily available to the masses...

but I am sure readers will be searching away... and it will, like most new things, become a common accessory ...

I cam across these Edition 2 Cartomizers weeks ago. I was very disappointed to hear that they were unavailable to the US market due to an exclusivity agreement.

Now here we are, and come to find out the agreement is with V4L!

I am just happy to know that these will be available for purchase shortly, and from such a high-caliber vendor to boot!

Can't wait!

Please, keep us posted on all the developments. The search for the burn-proof carto may be coming to an end. I am so excited!

....

It may not be either one, the site
Edition 2 Cartomizers E-liquid Web Shop CN Cartomizers Edition 2
states that Microcig Innovation Technology is actually the manufacturer, so the moniker could be MiTxxx, but it actually seems that they're all grouped together as 'CE2 cartomizers'. Then, after choosing a CE2 carto, you just decide if you want one for a KR808D1, or a KR808, etc.

Maybe! That site has MC808s but also lists RS for other carts. Mostly speculation at this point anyway.
