I started a thread like this a few months ago and figure I would revisit it again without reviving the old one. I am still looking for the best clearo that will work on the Volt X2 battery.

So far I have tried....

V2 Liquimax - So far these have been the best. Strong flavor and vape even after several months of use

esmarts - Hit or miss. Out of the five I got in the pack three still work. One was bad right out of the pack. had a plastic, chemical taste that I could not get rid of even after cleaning. Another developed the same taste shortly after. The other three seem to be working ok for now even after a few cleaning. Though one is starting to develop the slight chemical/plastic taste.

Nano - Junk. Cold vape and zero flavor right out of the pack. Tried cleaning and several different juices. Gave up on it.

CE3 - Worked good while they worked which wasn't for very long. Developed leaks very quickly even after following the instructions to the letter. PITA to fill with the syringe.

Volt X2 - Work ok but once they are down to half capacity they start to develop the plastic burnt taste. Kind of a waste having a bigger capacity tank that you can only use half of

Volt T3 - Tried several times. Works great for the first few vapes then develops the gurgling. My last attempt with it caused a major leak. Pretty much wrote this one off too.

So the search continues.

From the other thread I read that these work

Kanger T2

Vision Clearomizer 2.0 for 808/eGo, Changeable Coil - 2.4 ohm.

N300 iGo Crystal Vision Replaceable Coil Cartomizer

These two look like the same this as the V2 Liquimax but I haven't been able to figure out the difference between them other than the mouthpiece.

Kanger T4

Kanger CE5

Am I missing any. Any that don't require an adapter of any kind that is.

Just trying to find the best, most reliable one. One that will last more than a week. As I said I like the Liquimax but the capacity is under 1ml so I have to carry several with me when going on long trips.

Did the eSmart clearos that you used have short or long wicks inside? I believe that they have been updated. I have nothing bad to say about them at all. Mine have no plastic taste and vape great! As for the T3 clearos, I believe that SI has gotten updated heads that may solve the leakage/gurgling problems. Won't know till I receive my replacements.

The esmarts have the long wicks which is why I thought they would work good. I have no interest in persuing the T3 any further as the vape is way too cool and dulls the tastes when it works. Love the capacity though.

Garemlin, I don't know why I've never had any gurgling or leaking with SI's T3s (perhaps I've only ever had the "new and improved" models), but I do recognize that the vapor is a little cool.

Have you tried the Mini-T3? I think the vape is a bit warmer with those, although the capacity is of course reduced greatly (only 1.7ml, I believe).

I have been following a few threads on the mini T3 and the general consensus is the draw is very similar to the regular T3. Though just a tad warmer. I imagine with the bottom coil you can utilize more of the smaller capacity over a top wick delivery device. Just don't know if I wanna risk it.

The Visions you mentioned work good, they perform similar to the volt x2 but less prone to leaks (disclamer I havent used an x2 or vision is at least 6 months, product design may have evolved?). Personally all of the clearo's are the same experience for me, similar taste with slight variations in draw and reliability.

Are you able to get further than half way without the burning and plastic taste hitting with the V2??? That is the biggest problem I get with the X2 clearos. It is really hard to keep the wicks wet once they get low.

It would be nice if SI would at least consider coming out with a different top coil clearo, similar to the Vision vivi nova, but with threading that would work with the X2 and spinner.

All of the parts for the vivi novas are replaceable so it would be less expensive to just replace the heads. Also having the option of using any driptips... both the mini and standard size.

One can only hope... :p

I've been switching back and forth between the X2 clearo an the mini-T3. I can't make up my mind which I like better. I've had no problems from the mini-T3, no leaking, or gurgling but the draw is a little airy. The problem I've been running into the X2 is gurgling. I can't find a reason for the gurgling but usually if I take the tip off and blow through it everything works fine again. To me the warmth of the vapor between the two feels about the same.

Just my 2 cents.

X2 clearos less prone to leaks and interchangeable heads and they would have a winner IMO.

Haven't had the leaking problem but would love to have interchangable heads. Cleaning for me isn't going well for some reason, and the drying time is taking days. Happy with the X2 Clearo, would just like to have that option.

I am still a fan of the Nano clearo. At the price, when they fail, toss 'em. Don't worry about cleaning them, I think they fail quicker when you do that. Dedicate to one juice with a label. Now I do have a problem with them and dark juices. They seem to fail that much quicker.

I got a T3, hoping that head failure would happen slower. Nope-- just as quick. And those heads are more expensive than the nano. It is not wasted- I have toasted almond in it.

So this morning I ordered this rebuildable for my dark ones-- especially coffee- BogeTech 6ml Cartomizer Tank It may be a while before I can give a report on it.

3 weeks into vaping with the x2 and a mini t3 im not satisfied at all. When it works im golden when it doesnt it makes me wanna relapse back into cigs. 2 weeks in without a cig mind you. So far with the clearo it hasnt made me feel like im saving money since i quit smoking. I mean i understand things need maintanance which i do and im good with tinkering with things. But man these can get expensive. 5 heads in and only 2 have fired good the other 3 leaked bad. I swear when .... like this happens when i spend my hard earn money it feels like a deal breaker.

I know what do u expect from chinese made pieces u do get what u paid for so i cant be to .......

Im looking into the triton tank from halo since i know it will fit. Im more interested in reliabilty which be more pleasing than vape production hype. Si is great but needs to really look at there clearo products.

A wrench in one hand and my PV in the other.

A few of my own points. First, I think that this thread proves that everyone is different..............

Your vaping style dictates what is going to work best for you personally. @Garemlin, I think you vape like I do (and how I smoked); Looooooooong, hard drags. Your leak issues with a lot of what your are using is very similar to what I experienced in the beginning. When you pull too hard or chain vape almost anything below $10, you are going to affect the pressure inside and get that leak/gurgle. Just my 2 cents.

Nano - Junk, my wife likes it but I have no idea why.

X2 - not being able to turn it upside down is a deal breaker for anything I buy. If you use anything cinnamon, it will melt - they are a PITA to clean and if you use thicker juices, you will never clean the wicks completely. I also had a lot of leaking issues

CE3 - quirky but actually a favorite. For what they cost, you can buy a good number and if one breaks, you can take it apart and use what works. You have to get used to it but I return to these more often than anything else

T3 - bought two of them. The capacity is both a gift and a curse to me. I get bored of the same flavor and I don't commonly keep anything in a constant rotation so to have to go through SOOO MUCH juice before changing was bothersome. I bought a three extra heads for this and it worked well but I did experience some gurgle, mainly because of how I vape and one of the heads leaked out the full contents of the T3 onto my side table. Replaced the head, ready to go. By far the easiest to clean (short of the mini). Dont like that I have to plug holes with my finger but if I do that, it works well.

Mini T3 - just got this and I have to say, I like it. Smaller capacity works for what I want and I have had zero gurgle regardless of what I do to it or how I use it. **have to add that I just got this 4 days ago but so far, so good.
