I just did exactly the same thing and bought the stainless 1000 mahs. I'm looking forward to getting them. Personally, I have no desire for a Provari because I satisfied my curiosity with something half the price (i.e. Big Daddy Meter Mod). I think that the Ego Twist will cover most of the sweet spots for vaping at a price that almost anyone can afford. It also makes sense when you consider all of the variables that will work with it.

Yea, I understand but its just ...... i want a provari cause it looks cool as a mother f er. Im pretty sure alot of ppl have there pick of mods that will do everything they would want but once it gets up to that... it just becomes a hobby. Buying new things, trying new things that just does the same thing your other mods can do.
Yes i totally understand but for me its just that i would never buy a provari.. I dont like the name and i dont like how it looks. Just like i would never buy a mercedes, its a brand thing. Then i would rather buy a buzz pro or something. Luckily i probably dont need it after i got my twist. It will be enough for me. To each his own.
I'm definitely going to pick up a couple of these, but I think I'll wait a month or two to hear more reviews and see if the price drops by a couple dollars. As long as there's no major issues found with these, I think they will make a perfect portable VV setup with the higher ohm clearos or DCCs.
As for putting off the Provari because of these, not likely. Regardless of how cheap these get, they won't be cheaper than a $10 18650 battery, so the Provari will be more cost effective in the long run. Also, the Provari has other features that are useful, not just cool, although the cool factor is there as well.

Could you have a discussion about high-performance sports cars without mention of the Maserati, Ferrari, or any of the other top of the line performance cars? It is absolutely relevant to compare to two devices to some degree, and early testing shows favorable for the Twist to be on par in certain aspects such as steady voltage.
The topic is EGO TWIST VV. It's not a VV topic or a provari vs others topic. It just seems that the invasion by O.O.P.s, in most threads seems to be about the insecurity of the Provari buyers, at least it seems.

Since the Provari does appear to be the current standard for VV performance, it makes perfect sense that the equivalent features of the Twist be compared. Well the provari is 150 plus while the ego twist is 29 so its hardly fair nor relevant in my opinion to compare them, when youre shopping for a car you dont really compare a 10,000 dollar car to a ferrari right.
OnT: Just ordered 2 of them as my plastic boxmods for 4,8 v arent holding up to work with but I wish they would make the 1000 mah (or all of them) shorter and fatter to match the outer diameter of a tank like the lil mama, that would be so sweet.
I think the comparisons between a provari and a ego-c twist is like comparing an apple to an orange. I purchased a Ego-C Twist and i love it. Been wanting to see what all the hype is about VV but didn't want to spend a lot of money on a device before I would know if I liked VV. For 25-30$ the Ego-C Twist is a great entry to VV vaping, it's size is compact in comparison, the vape is consistent, battery life is decent on a 650 mah and it delivers what I expected. I learned that I do like 4.2 volts and its my new sweet spot. I only use 1 juice and to pay $200 for a device that's going to be set at 4.2 volts is not cost effective for me personally. For others that use a variety of juices then a VV device like to provari is a great option.I really do like vv vaping, I will pick up another Ego-C twist as a backup. It satisfies my curiosity about VV and its a good vape. Now I would not even compare it to a provari as they are two entirely different enitities, the Ego-C twist is a budget priced VV battery that allow's people to try VV, provari owners should be excited that people are trying variable voltage vaping knowing that if they really want the Ferrari of VV vaping devices their gunna buy a provari. I my self will purchase a provari when I get some extra money, but I can credit Joyetech for coming out with a excellent entry level VV device for us on a budget to expose us to vv. Just my .02 cents.

For a first time mod battery user the combo at the bottom of that page with two 18350 bats and the Trustfire charger for $42 is a good starting point.

Not really other than they are plastic and most don't like that. It became my go to simply for the comfort and lightness, well essentially what I said in my mini review.

Well, then I stand corrected, and I offer my full concession on the subject.
I do still plan to try these out after I hear a few more reviews on how they hold up with use. I think that they will be an outstanding VV solution for both budget and portability, if it turns out that they don't have any major issues.
Anyone hooked up an EMDCC yet? Love em, presently. Wondering how they'll work on this.

How's the battery life above 3.7 volts? I've seen references to hours, but missed the voltage (long thread, sorry).
I can build one for about 1/2 the price. And it has swappable batteries too. OTOH, I'm thinking I could pick this up for "fun". How do you think it compares to something more in it's range... such as an LT? Anyone have both and want to share opinions? I know the LT can swap batteries. Any major differences performance wise?
