EGo CE4 Silver 650mah- Something not quite right? Help!

Hi Guys,

Pretty sure this is not the place for this topic so by all means move it to where it should be, but now to my problem

After usuing cartomisers pretty much since starting to vape around 6 weeks ago, I took the plunge and ordered the above kit which arrived today. Filled it with e-liquid much easier than before obviously, charged the battery and put it all together and pressed the button...

And....not an awful lot going on- Taste like my cartomiser ones when they are dry. Except it's obviously not, filled it to the stated 1.6ml but not getting much joy

Did I miss something out here? Are there known issues with this kit? So dissapointed at the moment and wondered if there was a quick fix?

Look forward to getting some useful advice!

Cheers guys and gals

A Primer sorry? What would that be? Did you see the picture (Posted it just before you replied!)

Something definitely not right and it can't be the e-liquid because its quite nice in the cartomiser/atty combination I previously had...

I'll definitely give that a go....I was looking at the clearo and was wondering how it actually works as there doesn't appear to be an awful lot of wick in there? Could that be it?

Right you are, emptied all the liquid out ( it did appear to use some of the 1.6 I put in which is a bit worried)

Washed it out with warm water and I suppose I should let it dry out a bit first

Can see the wicks now, one either side (Picture attached) View attachment 205032
once it dries try again should be better

Im not a fan of the clearos because they tend to taste plasticy or burnt alot of the time. I would prefer cartos alone over clearos anyday, but thats just me.

Granted, but I should be able to get a decent draw out of them, a lot of users tend to use them

I'm going to have a go at filling it up again, it's been dry for a good couple of hours now?

Cheers

Well I did all of the above, initially I wasn't getting any vapour at all but it seems to have fixed itself....I am now getting that 'crackle' when I press the button and plenty of vapour...but still nothing in the flavour department...Well...it doesn't taste like cherry put it that way lol...

Is it something to do with the e-liquid? I wouldn't have thought so as with the cartomiser I get the flavour in tons...

I see, good to know, shame I didn't before!

I love the cherry flavour in the carto, but I am not getting any form of flavour at all in the clearo...hard to put my finger on it but it just tastes like plain vapour, a bit harsh on the throat too... Even if it's really vague I would understand but there is no charry flavouring at all...

Somebody on another board said I may need to let it all settle as water as gotten into the wicks so maybe an overnight soak will do the trick but it does feel like a waste of money at the moment, albeit fairly inexpensive at around £13 for the lot...

Is there a carto that will go on the ego battery? Probably not..

Ego batterys have 2 threadings the outside(around the outside edge) is the ego threading but if you look inside(in the center hole)of the connector you will see another set of threading and that is 510. Most cartos should just screw right on.

The CE4s that I normal use
don't have primer fluid.
Ordered a multi pack from FastTech,
to save a lot of $.
Those have primer,
and are random resistance too.
Nano 510 Mini Clearos,
from AltSmoke are $20 for 10.
They are super easy to fill,
perfect size for an eGo mini,
or to sample new flavors.
Those have primer, need to be rinsed out.
Of course I learned that the hard way!
