kGo has 510 and eGo threads, hence the "Go" part of the name.

You are correct. The eGo (and KGO) uses an eGo connection. It is not the same as a standard 510 because of the cone threads. Clearomizers like the Stardust (eGo Vision Clearomizer) screw into those threads (and others require at least a recessed 510 to even connect). That's why APV users generally have to get a 510 to eGo adapter to use them. The eGo connection is superior to the 510 connection because it is more versatile and you can get collars/sleeves/mini cones to cover the threads for dirt cheap if they are not used and being exposed bothers you.

Kgo fires at 3.7 volts while the eGo fires at 3.3-3.4 volts. I've used both and the Kgo gives a noticeably better vape. I have also distributed over 100 Kgo Starter Kits and only had issues with 4 batteries- DOA. As with all eGo class batteries care must be taken when cleaning or attaching accessories. I have found the Kgo to be the best non VV available right now. As far as mini variable volt PVs the Spinner easily surpasses the Twist in all areas. Have been using my Kgo for 11 months without issue and the vape today is as good as the day I purchased it.

To the OP: Take ShogaNinja's advice with a grain of salt. Notice that his experience with the KGO is different than many others' (including me) experience with it. He broke his while futzing around with it, and he seems to be on a crusade against it now. His experience is just that - HIS experience. It is anecdotal, and is a sampling of exactly 1. Many of us have had very POSITIVE experiences with the KGO.

Listen to the collective wisdom, not just one self-promoting "expert".

That's for the VV Kgo. I own it and yes the button did take time getting used to. Also the rubber button degraded quickly BUT they are now sending 2 free improved buttons to all Kgo VV owners. As for the Kgo try searching "PBusardo Kgo YouTube"...he LOVES it.

You might want to check out the PBusardo review. The fire button and usb pass through is a deal breaker for me.

No it doesn't. It uses a standard 510 thread. Same as the eGo and anything else that uses a 510 thread.

Cool, good to know.

After seeing your post, I went back to where I got that info and realized I was talking about the "GoGo" which uses the 808D-3 threading. kGo/GoGo/eGo...sometimes there's too many "Go's" to parse in my head...lol

Looks like a good, inexpensive starter kit. :thumb:

I own the Kgo and Twist VV. The major problem with mini VV is the batts drain quickly while Vaping at a higher voltage.
Kgo VV only comes in 650 mah- 3-6 volts.
Twist comes in 650, 900 and 1000 mah- 3.3-4.8 volts.
Vision Spinner comes in. 400,650,900,1100 and 1300 mah. Vapes from 3.3-4.8 volts. The MAJOR difference is the 1300 mah is only 4 1/2" long.

I only recently started seeing members here start mentioning the Spinner. I'm intrigued by it. I don't even know who sells it.

Yup, plenty of good stuff to choose from and some really great choices have just been released on the low-priced VV end.

I've had a 650mah Twist for several months now and can verify what you say about battery life at higher voltages. Fortunately I tend to vape at lower voltages for the most part, so I don't find battery life to be a problem. I just got a 1300mah Spinner which is giving me all day power. I chose it due to it being shorter than other large capicity lower priced options. It still fits in my jeans pocket. I like both very much.

Back on topic, I also have had great results using my Kgo.

From the dimensions I have seen it appears that the 1300mAh Vision Spinner (Fat Black) is exactly the same diameter as the Vision Mini Vivi Nova!
What a coincidence!

Plus it is 8mm (1/3 inch) shorter than the 1000mAh Twist! Double bonus!

Happy Thanksgiving from the Land of Ice and Snow!

I guess I'm gonna have to get a mini vivi nova now :D

When approching those lengths a 1/3 inch does become important. For me the length rather than girth is what mattered when making my choice.

It's the difference between being able to comfortably stick it in my jeans front pocket, and getting poked where I don't like to be poked.

I keep seeing references that says eGo's are regulated to 3.4 volts. Is this true? I use eGo batteries myself. Maybe time to put a drained one on the multimeter and compare it to a freshly charged battery.

Joyetech eGos are regulated. Others that are called eGo, may or may not be. Genuine Joye have their emblem on the bottom battery cap.
Maybe that has confused people.

Wow, thank you everyone!! So much info. good to know. I myself have the Kgo I have been using it for almost 3 mo. now and I have had no problems and no complaints, other then it does not fit in my back pocket without sticking out, but no big deal for me. I was asking because I am going to get a kit for a 20 year old that I rent a room to, no smoking in my house, never have never will, so to make it a little easier for him thought I would let him give this a try. I have not tried to many pvs (buget issues) so thought I would just double check to make sure the Kgo was what I felt it was, a good dependable vape! Sounds like I was right, so happy about that as they are not super expensive and I know how to use them. Thank you all again ..... koldham

GREAT choice on the Spinner IMO and you reiterated my thoughts exactly on the device based on user experience. If I weren't nearing the end of my Vaping "career" I would've have picked up the Spinner rather than the Twist but the sale price was too good to ignore. The one HUGE problem I've noticed lately is the intense "leapfrog" competition among the manufacturers. Yes I'm happy with my 650 and 1000 Twists as I also really don't run them too high. The only reason I bought the Twists was because I'm down to 2 mg nicotine and need all the help I can get in regards to TH and lung hit and it has definitely helped. Thanks very much for user experience on the Spinner as I had, just last week, recommended it to a friend who's looking to get into VV inexpensively.
