eGo Mega Dual Coil Cartomizer (60/40 juice and when to top off)?

Hi All -

I received my order of the eGo Mega Dual Coil Cartomizers. First day was a breeze vaping. I loved it. Second day didn't seem consistant. Tasted some burning and less vape. I am not a heavy vapor so I couldn't have drained the cartridge! It holds 4-5 mils of juice!

Topped it off anyway with a 10 drops or so of juice and I thought I was back in business.

How often are the Mega carto folks adding a few drops of juice? Daily? Would we vape these mega cartos "to the end?" Meaning...vape all the e-juice out of them. Would they have good flavor doing so?

Last question. I ordered some "joose" from Kick Bass Vapor. It should be here any day. I order 60/40 blend (60 VG - 40 PG). Will that be OK to use on these cartos?

I like these and I may order some of those Boge's too just too see how they perform. I've only been vaping for a few weeks. Trying to find my sweet spot! I liked the Tank on the eGo but I became fearful that my atty would only last a short time.

Such a deal. I'm starting to think vaping isn't fool proof. But I am enjoying it much more than analogs. Day 14 without an alalog!!

Thanks for your help!!

Never vape a cartomizer "to the end".
Always keep the coils wet to avoid burning the filler and getting that burnt taste.

Yes, you are going to go through a lot more juice with a dual coil than you're used to.
2 coils = 2x the vapor and juice per vape.

I'm using an XL dual coil right now, and as soon as I feel it's vaped down a third of the way I top it off with a syringe.
The two coils are separated and spaced apart.
Even though there may still be some juice in the carto, one coil could start to get dry before the other and burn.

I find the heavier VG ratios tend to clog my cartos quicker than the juices that are mostly PG.
Although I haven't tried the boil method of cleaning cartos yet, it may be worth it to try and clear a couple of duals that seem to have a harder draw now from vaping VG juice.

Congratz on hitting day 14!

I've been using a few juices that I cut 50/50 with straight VG, and they would great in the EMDCCs

They wick just as well as straight, or mostly PG juices do, as far as how long they will last compared to using straight PG, I couldn't tell you. I've gone through about 10mls of 50/50 vg/pg in one of my EMDCCs and it's still going strong.

Like someone else said, don't vape the carto dry. I usually top mine off 3-4 times a day just to be on the safe side, but I do vape about 6-7mls a day, so that's about two EMDCCs worth of juice.

Just pop the rubber tip off now and then, if the top of the filling material looks dry, put some more juice in there. There's no such thing as topping off too often (except for a little leaking) but there is definitely a problem with not topping off enough, and that's burned filling material or possible popped coils. The former is probably the most likely though.

Just keep that filler wet! They use a lot of juice so don't be too conservative with it.
