This might interest a bunch of people. Madvapes now has a clear version of the emdcc. They're the same price and have a round tip. It looks like they started out with over 3000 of them.

Thanks for the link and the info. I will probably try some of these when my stock gets low. I only have 20 left right now. I ordered more when I thought they were going to run out and be without them for a period of time.

Mine will be the unpopular opinion, but - yuck.

I've never taken one apart but I imagine the packing in a cartomizer gets to looking pretty nasty after you fill it five or six times. Think I'll get one or two of these on my next order, though - I'd love to be wrong on this one.

edit: I would kinda like to have a completely clear PV, though. That'd be neat.

No no you're quite right. I wish I had a camera cause you should see the old clear dual coils I've got... Even clear juices stain after a while but the dark ones are just nasty lol.

I've always tried to avoid anything clear for a PV. I really dislike how it looks.

It makes sense for some tank setups, but in a poly-filled carto???? Why??? You will not be able to tell by looking how much juice is left.

My PVs get enough strange looks as it is, why have one with the least appealing part of it on display???

I have a problem with cleaning these babies. I've had two of them that seemed to be clean following a hot water rinse and blow technique. The filler seems to be clean, clear water on the blow out cycle. I've put them on top of my computer fan exhaust and left them sit for three days before refilling and firing them up. The draw is much lighter than original and the vapor production seems to be reduced by about 30-40%. I get a strong astringent (don't know how else to describe it) hit in the back of my throat and the taste is way off. I've let it sit overnight to make sure that the filler is saturated, but doesn't seem to help. Am I doing something wrong, or should I just consider them a loss?

Revisiting my previous post about cleaning problem. Second day after refilling the cleaned carto I find that it is much improved. It appeared to be a little dry after sitting for a second day, so topped it off. The vapor production and draw are much better and the flavor is returning. I am beginning to think that it may have still had some residual moisture in the filler from the cleaning. Perhaps it was water mixed in with the juice that was causing the problem. At any rate, I will continue to use this one and see if it continues to improve. It's back to about 85% and seems to be getting back to normal. I really like these carotmizers better than anything else and will continue to use them even if I have to chuck them when they foul. I got almost 3 weeks on these before they were too yuckie so it is worth it even if I have replace them after one use.

Probably. - I think that the best way to get as much moisture out as possible before letting them sit somewhere warm to fully dry is a reverse tarun spin.

I saw that video on the Spin. But is there a direction you have to spin the carto to get the moisture out? Spin to the left or spin right? Does it even matter? I know this sounds like an idiot question but the word "reverse" is confusing me here.
I put mine in a holder we made and just let a fan blow down on it for several hours. Dries quickly but still needs to sit for a day after the fan treatment. I'm seriously thinking about drying them in the clothes dryer on the shoe rack for an hour or so on the gentle cycle.

It doesn't matter.

The "reverse" is when you turn the cartomizer around so you're spinning liquid out of it instead of into it.
