i have been noticing something wrong with air flow and thought it was a problem with the tube or filler, but this morning i was comparing air flow with and without a batt attached. without a batt attached, air flow was great, so i kept drawing (taking in air) on the emdcc while attaching the batt. what happened was as soon as i touched the batt to the carto threads, air flow was greatly dimished (almost cut off), and continued to be so and get worse when the carto was completely attached.
the original emdcc's, on the other hand, while attaching a batt to them, seem to experience better air flow. i don't know how this could be possible, but it's what happened on the 2 originals that used.
does anybody have a clue? could something be wrong with the design or a possible mistake in manufacturing? can anyone else here try what i just tried and give their results, too? with the skirt in the way, i can't actually see where the air flow holes are located. maybe someone wants to dissect some of these and see if the holes are in the right place?
i'm not saying that the filler hasn't changed, too, but just wondering about the air flow. is there something basic here that i'm just not getting?
