But what is strange is that my VV box will use the dual coils but balks at the 2.0 boges??? So if it fires the emdccs at 1.6 ohms why does it not like the 2.0s?

Are you talking about the madvapes VV Box? Because mine fires Boge 2.0's just fine. Using the UltraFire Protected 14500's from MV. Possibly a center post contact problem?

Quite possible, I'll have to fool with it some more. I'm thinking there may be a problem with my MV VV box, the batteries are only lasting me for maybe 15 hits and then they die. I checked the battery voltages and also the box and everything seems ok, but what do I know....

Edit: OK, the Boge 2.0s will work on the vv box, I was just pushing it too much. I lowered the voltage and then it fired. Now if I could get these batteries to keep a charge for more than a few hits I'll be loving this device.

Definitely give MV a call. Be aware they are opening a new store and are in a temporary state of semi-chaos. Their phone service was down for a few days also. Good changes for the future but a little crazy there right now. They are good guys and will make it right.

Garrr! Dam u usps!

Was gettin a lil excited to come home to my mv shipment with my first emdcc's, check tracking and this:

"Your item was misrouted. The error has been corrected and every effort is being made to deliver it as soon as possible. Information, if available, is updated periodically throughout the day. Please check again later."

Gar! Got sent to the wrong post office from the local sorting facility.

Never had this happen before. Oh welllll. Not like I dont have a ton of other atties/cartos to vape outta.

It sounds like one of your batteries is bad. I'm glad you have some AWs on the way. - I've only had my MV VV for a couple of weeks. The grey ultrafires work great in it for me, but I have a pair of AW IMRs that I prefer. I don't get a whole day out of them, but they last most of the workday for me.

I measured all 4 of them with the Fluke and they all tap between 3.7 - 3.8V. IDK, first I thought it was the dccs draining them so quickly, so I dialed in down at about 3.7 and no, they don't last very long. Maybe it's the cheap a** charger I bought. I'm stumped at this point. I'll see what happens with the AWs. Oh, they also drain out real quick in my Blue Lightning. So maybe they are defective batteries, but all 4 of them? My ego 900 lasts most of the day with the emdccs so I don't know what to think right now. Oh, you are right, the dccs are dual coil 3.2 each in parallel resulting in 1.6 Ohm. I had read the post incorrectly.

They should read 4.17v or so fresh off the charger. It may very well be your charger. - Tough to say, though. I have a couple of the AD-103 chargers and that's about as cheap as it gets. They work just as well as some of my more expensive chargers (less options, though - only one batt at a time and no user selectable voltage)

I've been using a EMDCC for about a week now, and I'm pretty happy with it. Mine is on a 1000 mah eGo battery.

The ones I ordered at first had the nipple tips on them, but I wasn't very happy with those. I ended up needing to order something else from MadVapes only a few days after these came in, and that's when I saw the whistle-tip version, so I ordered a couple of those. Now I'm using the original EMDCC, but with a flat-tip pilfered from the new order (which just came in today.) The whistle tip is much better, IMO.

They hold a lot of juice, and they give a good vape. The one thing I don't like is that I can't seem to find a way to refill them without it leaking. To deal with that, I take it off the battery when I'm refilling, and make sure I've got napkins or Kleenex's or something similar around.

I just fill 'em in a shot glass, let them sit upright for a couple minutes, wipe off the battery end (and the condensation out of the inside of the mouthpiece) then use a syringe to recover the juice.

Just got in and filled up an emdcc with some bwb 555 exotic. So glad my ego mega type B drip tips fit on this cuz I HATE the tips they come with. Too rubbery... Just weird... Well anyway, vapes real nice. Not quite as flavorful as direct dripping, no surprise there, but definitely good for when driving or out and about when dripping isn't safe or feasible. Got it up to only 3.7 volts on the provari, anything higher gives an error. Can pump it up all the way to the max 12 watts on the darwin and HO-LEE-ISHH, TONS of vapor. Maybe wayy too much. The light headedness is just starting to subside. The 12 watts setting read 4.0-4.2 volts and 2.9 amps @ 1.5 ohms. (Takes another two drags) Surprisingly no burning taste at this setting. Checked the filler and now its starting to be a little white again. I think I need to lay down...

yes ... seems like about 4.0 to 4.2 is the magic voltage for the emdcc's (according to the juices used). they sure do push out the nic(!) ... had to lower my own nic levels as i was getting way too much. most of the time i go for zero nic, now, and just add a little when i get the craving or i'm somewhat stressed.

Way to go! :) More fun to vape w/o the nic.

yes, it really is great! i just ordered a whole bunch of diy tpa flavors and zero-nic base, so i'm having some fun cooking up some great juices this weekend. :) if i hadn't found the emdcc's, i'd still be looking for a great carto instead of being able to mix up juices for even greater enjoyment.

Cool!

I think eventually I'll try mixin' my own smoke juice, but it will have to wait 'til I finish using up a $250 gift certificate that I won from a photo contest at Johnson Creek Original Smoke Juice - The Best E-Liquid in the World - Made Right Here in America .
