Any recommendations?
I got mine at an auto parts store. It costs around $9, but I doubt I'll ever run out...

I use a q-tip and pick up just a dab and apply it around the threads. Then, assemble, and wipe off any excess...

NOTE: Only apply this to electrical threads. DO NOT apply this to tank threads. I feel silly writing this, but...

For all you Ego One vapers — I was under the impression that the Ego Ones give good flavor with high VG eliquids. I am finding i get no flavor using the 1.0 ohm coil. I have tried several different flavors and they are all the same — tasteless of any flavor except the VG. I dropped down to a 50/50 eliquid and everything is tasting just fine. If anyone is vaping high VG (70% +) with good flavor, can you please let me know if you are using the 1.0 or 0.5 ohm or anything that you can doing. The Ego Ones will not go to waste though as I will use them for eliquids under 70% VG.

What coils? There are CL (blech!) And CLR (yum!) Then, if it's the CLR, there's the question of wick...

You do what?!?!

I used to apply Noalox on the threads of my ProVari, because they recommended it, but I hated how it turned black and gunky after a while... I just clean all my connections with Iso.
Should I really use dielectric grease? And if so, what kind? Conductive? Non-conductive?

Would a dab of Vaseline do?

Happy V-Day, y'all!

•Noalox invented purpose is to stop aluminum wires from galling to non aluminum metals (High Voltage)

•Permatex® Dielectric Tune-Up Grease
Protects electrical connections and wiring from salt, dirt and corrosion.
Prevents voltage leakage around any electrical connection. Also prevents spark plugs from fusing to boots.

I use the Dielectric Grease mainly to stop dry threads/better threading and maybe to promote better electrical connectivity

I also apply it with a q-tip and then wipe it almost back off leaving just o-so-much

I use Vaseline to protect the battery terminals on my vehicles from corrosion

petroleum jelly probably works just as good as the other ↑ two ↑ for our purpose (vape mods)

:) ;)

Hey Friend! @NotSoMini - you sure it isn't the juice? Is it one particular juice or all your high vg ones? I have some high VG mixes that I can try out in an old Nautilus for example to see if there is a difference, but up to this point, I hadn't noticed that. I know *some* vendors add more flavor to high vg since PG is the flavor carrier, but if you are comparing side by side with a non Ego One tank, you would think both would taste the same. I am sorry you are not enjoying all your liquids in the Ego Ones!!! :nah: And you KNOW I will buy your old tanks and coils if you want to chuck 'em! DIBS!

Thanks Nanny. I have tried several different flavors to make sure and they all had no taste other than the VG. I tried a couple of 70% and one 80% and they all had no flavor. These same flavors I have vaped in my Kabuki tank using the Nautilus 0.7 ohm coil and the flavor is definitely there. As mentioned they work fine with 50/50 so will use them for under 70% VG flavors.

I use the CLR with rayon wicking and I use 80% to 100% VG exclusively and think I get marvelous flavor... :2cool: (it all works for me)

Are you using the 1.0 or 0.5 CLR and at what wattage? I have even left the tank sitting overnight thinking they need a long priming.

I'm still here on ECF... sort of. ;)

I found an old film camera that still had film in it, so I finished it off and mailed it in to a processing company. I ordered all 8x10s. Now, I'm waiting and waiting and waiting...

But, I know... I just know...

Someday, my prints will come!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Ga'roooooooon!

(you're cute, Shawn)

BTW the flavor with the 50/50 juice I am vaping is really good.

Had Gandy not posted the above, I would have unequivocally said that it was necessary to vape a higher PG vliquid.

Now, I'll just say that for YOUR taste, perhaps a higher PG vliquid is the ticket. :nodding: (<--- yes, I know that's not an emotical, duh.)

:|

I only build my own CLR's and I only use the big air hole center pin from the .5Ω coils

like to stay close to 1.0Ω (.75Ω - 1.25Ω) / using rayon / prefer a range of 9w-15w

I just lay a line of juice along the wick (priming) as I put it together

by the time the tank is assembled and installed on mod, it is ready to vape... :vapor:

stock build coils, cotton is packed so tight it is about un-vapable
