@Jin_888 , interesting note about the power button. I've only had my ego ones for about 2 months. Hoping the power button lasts longer than 4 more!

For me, the only 2 "cons" I have are
- the tank is a wee bit on the small side and I have to refill more often. However, I could get a larger tank (just not certain which one yet).
- juice has a tendency to leak through the air holes. This seems to happen when I'm out and about...I keep them in a carrying case (came with). When I take one out to use there is often leakage. Or this sometimes happens when the unit has sat overnight. I fire it up with my morning coffee and it's leaked. I'm not sure why (?).

Cheers

Hello! I had a leakage problem and solved it by not chain-vaping, inhaling slower prior to turning it off and keeping the tank above the 1/8 full point. I haven't had any leakage issues since and I keep it on its side all of the time when not in use. I think that when the fluid is super-heated and/or there's extra in the coil chamber then it's going to leak out as its runnier then.
Hope this helps!
( Apparently happens in other clearomizers as well (I think that's the right term I'm a newbie)

I haven't had any of these issues yet but it's good to know what to look out for. As suggested earlier 24mg is really strong through this. My new juices coming are 18 and my next order will most probably be 12.
yes I was smoking 20-30 light analogs each day & the 12mg was too strong for me...I'm down to 6mg mixed with 3mg right now...haven't had or even craved an analog in almost a month!
Oh & you can use the Ego One while it's charging as long as it isn't completely dead...it has a 'pass through battery'. That is a lifesaver for me!!
Glad I was able to help!

For sure @Dewal , 24 mg would blow my head off!
I started with 18 mg (was a pack per day smoker) and stuck with that for about 3 (?)weeks. Moved it down to 12 mg then 6 mg. I found that 6 mg wasn't quite enough however. I became irritable and a bit cranky so I mixed some 12 and 6...if you add the 2 mg contents together and divide by 2 it equals the "new" mg (9 mg). Works for me!

I learned that handy equation from the forum and it's come in handy.

Cheers

Hopefully if people are conscious of the potential issue with the button, they can be more careful in use and the button will last as long as the battery itself. When I received both my 2200 and 1100 Ego Ones, neither of the buttons rattled so I know this has happened over time. The button on my 2200 battery still works but doesn't activate the battery now and then, and this morning I had a problem with the 5-click on/off function because not every click registered, and I had to just keep pressing the button over and over until it locked or unlocked. 5 clicks always seems like overkill to me. I prefer the 3-clicks that Innokin require on their batteries - less wear and tear on the button.

btw, I also get some liquid seepage through the airhole whenever my Ego Ones are carried around in my work bag as back ups. I think it's to do with a combination of the liquid jostling around inside the tanks and perhaps the age/condition of the atomiser head. So whenever I carry back ups I just close the air holes and put them in a plastic bag to minimise any mess. Seems to do the trick. Also, when the Ego Ones are in use, I notice that condensation sometimes forms around the air holes and this could be mistaken for leakage.

Great idea to close the air holes, I didn't think of that (duh!). Re: jostling causing leakage - I brought both ego ones with me on a 12 km walk yesterday. Before placing them in their carrying case I wrapped each unit about 3 times with paper towel. This way they fit snug into the carrying case and hopefully wouldn't jostle around. It worked! No leakage.

I was a 40-a-day gal, and it was bankrupting/killing me! I too tried a cigalike device at first, (for stealth vaping) but found the cartomisers too weak and too expensive. Then I tried CE4 clearomiser cheap starter kits with 18mg shop e-liquids, but those liquids didn't quite hit the spot either. Going the DIY route with 24mg and extra tobacco flavour in my cheap clearomiser kits finally worked for me. I will never 'smoke' again. :)

A tip for stealth vaping... VG makes much more vapour than PG, and the vapour is what people can see, so try 100% PG e-liquid (or as close as you can tolerate), and hold it in your lungs for a few seconds before you exhale... No vapour to give you away! ;)

Hello!
I did a lot of research and here is what I found out, hopefully this makes sense to you...I tried closing the air a few times and it's not an 'air-tight' seal so it still leaked into my purse. I was using a Ziplock but just didn't want to be pulling my gorgeous Ego out of one...
Juice thats super-hot as it is condensing gets thinner.
Add in condensation from chain-Vaping, etc
Also there may be some juice left around coil (not sucking enough or not enough airflow to burn/move it from the coil area) so goes along 'easiest route' and the air intake connects to the coil chamber, so it leaks out that way.
The liquid that is leaking out is darker because it has steeped in the hot tank.
A lot of the clearomizer tanks do leak when the liquid is very low so that is a common occurrence.
Keep it topped up...and that also helps to keep the pressure for a fuller vale & nice clouds!
I'm glad you found a solution that works for you...no one wants to find their oil all over the place!!

Yes being able to combine the juices is a great way to customize your nic level!
That's why I use the 6 + 3...in at 4.5ng now. It's odd because you wouldn't think that 1.5mg makes much of a difference but it really does!! It's odd that we both went down on nic levels after about 3 weeks...I wonder if that's a common time frame for the majority?

Hello!
I use high VG but a very airy draw then swallow followed by breathing slowly...no one has noticed yet! From what I have read the higher PG will give a stronger throat hit, right? Have you noticed that when you use it? I was thinking of trying your tip but worry that the 'hit' might be too much for me.

Thank you
I'm one of those people who research everything I'm interested in! I love to learn yet hated school lol
There is one thing I can't seem to find out...
What exactly are we exhaling? I have had a few people (non-smokers) who asked me what was being exhaled and I just can't seem to find out.
Can anyone help with this?

That's great. I suppose if we want to be extra careful we wouldn't fill the tanks until we need to vape but of course that's inconvenient. And of course I meant liquid sloshing around inside the tanks not 'jostling' lol. Having said that, they should be able to stand up to a certain amount of sloshing and jostling as they are meant to be portable.

I forgot about juice getting thinner as it heats ups. Thanks! It might be particularly problematic for those who vape high PG as that tends to be thinner/runnier as well.

Also, if leakage juice comes out darker it could be because it has caramelised in the heat. When I vape clear sweet juices, I sometimes see brown condensation gather on the transparent drip tip too.

Good point! The steeped oil does turn dark and I think the brown drops of condensation in the mouthpiece were from the vaporized oil coming into contact with the air at that spot. The oil does technically carmelize...I guess that's why steeping e-juice prior to using it is so popular?

Oops...hit "post reply" in error. Me and my clumsy digits.
@Jenny Lynn , lol, yep kind of interesting we both stepped down our nic after 3 wks. I know the reason behind my decision *blushing a bit* I was quite determined to stay off the stink sticks, as a result I was vaping a lot. I realized I was getting a bit "nic sick"...buzzed, so I took the nic down so I could continue uber vaping and staying off the cigs. Then I realized I'd likely accelerated my stepping down the nic a bit hastily...got a bit cranky/aggitated b/c I wasn't getting enough nic. At least I think that was the reason. That's when I read on the forum you could mix 2 nic levels to arrive at a halfway point. It works for me.

Happy Dance!!!

Lol your story sounds almost identical to mine, except I wasn't trying to quit because I didn't like smoking...it was just so expensive I figured I would try the alternative! That's also why I mix up my own nic level as well!
