Ok so I'm not really a newb, but my eGo T just came in today...AWESOME...Well it was for five minutes anyhow...It's a new model and I'm no familiar with it at all, minus the 5 mini page brochure it gave me...Anyhow problem is I keep getting that burnt taste...The tank is full, I emptied the stock liquid and put in my own and it was great but now it's not seeming to do to well...Anyone have any idea what I might be doing wrong here?

I hate the first fill of a tank, it takes a while to really get going. It feeds on pressure so you need to suck through the mouthpiece to get it in there first. Make sure there's an air gap in the cart too; you can't fill it the whole way.

When it's dry for me I just suck through the mouthpiece and vape until it's getting through. Don't inhale that, when you see your usual vapour production it's good to inhale again or you'll taste charcoal and blech.

Sometimes I find I need to take the cart in and out again and it gets going. Mostly because I use all VG and the little air bubbles stop it feeding sometimes.

Compared to carts/cartos you have to give the tank more time to wick. With my VG I can get 8 - 10 puffs before it's dry and need 2 minutes for it to soak liquid up again so I keep two in rotation plus clearos and cart atties everywhere for those days the tank just dries up on me.

On a new eGo or 510T tank atty, I first put a couple of drops directly on the 'spike'. Usually there is a very small amount that 'runs' to the plate. When I insert a loaded tank on the new atty, I let it sit, tank end up, to allow the wick to saturate. That small amount of juice on the plate seems to act as a 'seal' and lubricant for the tank. Just my $.02 FRN...

welcome to the world of the Ego-t.......

step one......go in back yard and dig hole
step two......walk up to hole with tank system
step three......throw tank system in hole and fill back in hole with dirt
step four......buy boge 2.0 ohm cartos to put on your ego battery
step five.......become fully aware how much of a fail the Ego-t is juice doesn't get to wick and you end up burning it
step six....be mad at Joye for introducing a product with little to no testing first
step seven.....go to EGO-T FAIL facebook page and leave comment to make yourself feel better

Hope this helps happy vaping :)

Pretty much what I ended up doing with my eGo-T. Lord what a picky, annoying system. I always ended up burning the wick and then you get that awful burnt taste constantly. Luckily yes, you can just stick a carto on the battery and wow, so much better!

Try to ignore the negitive and not helpful comments. It always seems that when you ask for help that some negitive people have to come and complain without offering any constructive help. Just like any other pv there is a learning curve and crappy instructions. It really is a great system once you learn the in and outs of it. I have used one everyday for 6 months now. I have every carto made, a reo, an infinity, a box mod and a Sabor Touch mini. But nothing beats the ego-t for everyday, leaving the house without a ton of stuff, use. The atty's need to be primed and be given time to wick. The juice needs to be fairly thin 70/30 or thinner. I use all vg thinned with distilled water to the consistancy of 70/30. I find that pre-fireing the atty a bit before you begin you pull helps prevent flooding. If you need any more help feel free to p.m. me and I'll see what I can do. :)

Two possibilities. Either you have not blown out all the primer that was in there OR the wick is to high and you have to push it down a little bit. Hope that helps

EDIT: You can also try to push down on the tank until you hear a click. I've read where some people forgot to do that and they've gotten a burnt taste as well.

I totally agree, it seems when someone is having a problem with the ego-t. Often, it's people that didn't take the time to understand the system come on and straight out bash it. It's not that hard to understand, just has a SLIGHT learning curve to make it work at it's peak condition. Just like a lot of pv's out there.

You are a paying a lot of money for an ego-T which is a very poorly designed ecig. Runs too cool even with LR atty. Messy to refill. Leaks juice. Alternating flooding and dry vapes. Atties loose performance very quickly. Here is a hint: If this forum shows that a lot of mods are required to an ecig, then move on.

HTH,
Dave

I got my Ego-T yesterday. I charged the battery, blew out the atty, filled the tank, popped it on and started vaping. Its fantastic. I dont have the burnt taste. I dont know what I did that you didnt or visa versa. It was very simple for me. The vapor is immense, the flavor is great and I have no leaking either. I hope you get your answer. I cant simply, bury it in the back yard and get something else. I live on a limited income and had to save to get it. I did some research before purchasing and will eventually get some cartos to try with it, but for the time being, it will be tanks for me. Good Luck

I was using a Joye 510 before getting the ego-t. Its what I got when I first started and found that it worked for me. Then I decided I wanted a tank system. I'm a person that's lived by the theory, if its not broke, dont fix it. So until I wanted a tank system, I loved my 510. It did what it was supposed to do and I have several of them that I will continue to use along with the tank system.

Right on. I don't see how a woman could use an eGo-T anyway as I think an eGo-T looks like shined up junk Harley parts. Quite the macho vape :)

Interesting. I think I burned my atty after one day (bought the eGo-T yesterday). Of course, I was vaping like crazy, probably due to the fact that I could on a single battery charge. Refilled the tank about four times. Then, today, I didn't notice the incredible flavor that I did yesterday. I grabbed another tank and threw some mint/menthol juice in, and could barely taste it. I guess from my previous excursion into e-ciggys, I got used to the burnt "flavor". Not that its preferred, but I'm experiencing it again today. Just to test, I pulled out the other atty, dropped in the tank and got wonderful flavor. So I guess I did burn the first one out.

Given the details on the cartos, I may have to try the Boge, or similar brand. Quick question - the Boge cartos need syringes to refill?

Some people like Ford, some people like Chevy, some people like Dodge.
Some people like Cartomizers, some people like Tanks, some people like dripping.
Opinions are like A-Holes... and some people are.

Before you give up on your eGo-T, make sure you give it a fair try. I've used mine for over a month now, and like it as much as I ever did. Now I've not had all the problems that some of the people here have. One of the six attys I have used started out with a foul flavor, and I found out that I had not cleaned out the original primer fluid before I used it. I have not yet had an atty fail, I have not had dry burns, I have not had leaks. This makes me believe that most of the people that dislike the eGo-T may have actually been having "user errors". Sadly, most people find it easier to blame the device rather than considering that they might have done something wrong. These same people would probably blame a car maker for faulty equipment after a tree turns their four-door sedan into a mid-engine compact. After all, the driver had nothing to do with the fact the car was going 100mph in a 25mph turn, right? The lesson here is to take others opinions with a grain of salt. Do your own research, form your own opinions, and when you find the vapor system you like, vape happy.

Not macho at all when its metallic blue or purple or pink. And even less so when you add some sparklely nail stickers. :) Nope my ego's are definitely all girl. :)

Dzlady glad you are enjoying your new Ego-t! :)

I have an eGo-T and vaped it for a while. Then went back to my white 510's--purple LED no less. I saw the pic in your profile, lamb chop. Tell me you like me and give me a hug and I will go back to my eGo-T in whatever color you want me to have.

If it was burnt out it wouldn't work.Your atty is probably dirty and cleaning will possibly revive it. One day out of an atty is nothing.
As to your cartos question you don't need a syringe
