Looking for some insight into the leaking issues with these.

I imported several ego-t units (genuine from HC), both a and b types. Several have had leaking issues from day 1 and people are complaining about the leaks and how much juice they are losing.

I have gone over the usual causes, tank liquid level, tank seated correctly, tank cap on correctly, a couple have adjusted and fluffed the wicks and so on. The juice itself was probably to blame in one case, as was described as "piss thin".

I have used the same juice with mine and not one of the combinations I have used has ever leaked (A, B and B type LR and also the 510 T), so either I am just lucky, or I have passed on some faulty units from 2 separate shipments.

This leaking rate is unacceptable at present with 60% or more developing leaks.

Is this more common than it would seem perhaps?
Is it likely to be the tanks themselves, a misalignment with the spike?
Any ideas other than telling them to start dripping...lol?

Thanks in advance

Rob

I have 4 ego type a tank atties and I have had no leaking issues, all need to be blown out occasionally but no leaks, I have used 100% pg to 50/50 mix all with no trouble, guess I' m one of the lucky ones.
btw 3 of my atties are tornado t, which i think are made by joye, and the other is a joye ego t branded one

I've had leaking problems with my tank setups from day one. The first one was an Inferno T. The other kits were Joye egoT both A and B. I had only one B atty that didn't leak at first, then after several weeks, it began leaking too. I constantly clean, blow out, etc.... With that said, my hubby and brother seem to have very few if any leaks. It's kind of a toss up as to whether or not those things will leak. I really like the tank idea, but for now, I've switched to a Go-Go. They're not perfect either, but I haven't had any issues with leaking!! :D

If you have the hard plastic cap on your carts that is where the problem is. They get worn and become larger than the needle which causes juice to leak around the outside of the needle. Get some of the silicon relacement caps to fix the leak issue. I had the same leak problem every 3 days after replacing a hard cap. Got some silicon caps and have used the same cap for 2 weeks and not leaked one drop.

I have 5 Ego-T Type B large tanks with no problems at all. I think it must be a batch problem - quality control at the factory.

I do remember reading somewhere that there were Type A tanks defective from the manufacturer with hairline cracks causing leaking. I used Type A small tanks for quite some time and never had this problem either.

These are brand new units, so wear should not be an issue, so this is a design/manufacturing flaw.

Silicon caps sound like a damn good idea, I will look into them, but again I should not have to pay for an aftermarket item like this surely? Time to contact my supplier.

Thanks for the replies folks, much appreciated :)

I have tornado tank that leaked horribly... I believe ruined the 2 atomizers with it..
So while the gentleman at TW suggested the caps they were out of stock. I have to say I was lucky to find the forum and learn about the 510 and drip method and have been loving it.

I kinda resent the fact after two weeks with a product warrenty I would have had to just spend more money on atomizer, tank and caps and hope that the problem didnt happen again. They say the silicone caps would stop the problem but hey after a 70 dollar kit and two weeks later needing another 50 bucks to replace faulty equipment .. I just couldnt take a chance on the tanks again. I like the idea but dont want to spend that much for something that works for such a short time and that I will have to spend more money yet again if they leak. So I went the way of the 510 atty and drip tip and havent had any problems.. I love it . Keeping fingers crossed lol

I haven't had any problems with my ego-t, but I've only used it for about a week. I've only used the 1 atomizer and 1 tank, have probably refilled it 5 times. I just keep going back to my boge cartos though. While I'm not leaking, I just feel it's using way more juice than my cartos do. I'll stick with the cartos for now :)
